Re: At wit's end

You are so young don't panic it's all ahead of you! Can you move to a more buzzy place with an active theatre scene e.g. Bristol, Brighton? And maybe work in a theatre even in the bar just to get back into it and hang out with like minded people? Might give you a boost x

Re: Expectations from Agencies

That's interesting campaign Tayla - let's see what happens.

I assume it's a no unless told yes - though much harder when recalls, pencils etc as you start to mentally make plans!

Re: Expectations from Agencies

We hardly ever get feedback from the agency and it was frustrating one time when dd was seen many times for a show - I did ask them and they found out but really it was such general feedback it was probably the same answer for all. There probably isn't any feedback that is hugely useful - its most l...

Re: Newbie Top talent agency?!

I think TT send kids to castings in Manchester from what I've heard. I guess wherever shows are being made. Other than that I guess its the same old thing - commercials and theatre will mostly be in London (even for tours?).

Re: Which agency for theatre, tv rather than commercials?

Agree in every way ^^^^ - with good spotlight pics and cvs they surely can get a good idea of what the kids look like - would help cut down numbers hugely and save families a lot of time and money

Re: Which agency for theatre, tv rather than commercials?

Exactly behind the scenes. Our dd has done a few commercials and has had loads of pencils too but loads more nos. I feel we've done our time! If they saw fewer kids like at tv castings we might feel differently about them!

Re: Top Talent Agency (tta kids) - Thoughts anyone?

Bit mixed - they are big and they have some fab kids so they are successful with lots of jobs. not always great with parents. Probably due to their size again.

Which agency for theatre, tv rather than commercials?

Hi there

Is there an agency who focuses on tv, theatre and film rather than commercials? Do they all tend to send to commercials, as that is where the money is? Many thanks

Re: Daisy And Dukes

So I heard back for our youngest - it was a considered email saying what dd would be good for and not so good for - that might be why the emails are taking some time! I like that though as it shows they are managing expectations. Lot's to think about.

Re: TV/Movies - protecting kids in violent scenes

very interesting. Now thinking about this and I can't think of anything I've seen where this happens. In the tv programs/films etc with murder I can't remember seeing kids in the scenes. NOt sure about the legal/licensing issues but I think it isn't happening, for whatever reason.

Re: Fees to join agency

That sounds far too much. The two agencies I know about (both in top 10) charge 50-100 for your child to go to their photography day and take headshots. This is cheaper as they have a whole day booked of kids. You also get pics that they and the industry like. You get the pics too. One then charges ...

Re: Daisy And Dukes

I think it just reflects how little is out there for that age group really and its sensible not to take your money when there isnt the work. Has your son thought about National Youth Musical Theatre? Or Musical Theatre MasterClass? Both quite a lot of money but good training?
