Re: Nativity! workshop
Hi willali-I had a chat with the agent about the dancing, especially as my dd is not really a dancer, and she said just let her do what she wants really and just be free and natural as poss.As for song-it's the opposite-I feel like she knows too many to choose from! She'd prob like to do a Matilda song...

Re: Nativity! workshop
Thanks, yes that does kind of make sense.I just had not heard of a workshop that you got paid for as it's usually the other way around! In my email it does say they are looking for kids that can sing dance and act to a high standard, but also kids with vulnerabilty and likeability.Looks like great fun ...

Re: Nativity! workshop
I know its for some kind of workshop and that you have to be free from 22nd July -3rd August-but it must be linked to a professional job or the agent wouldnt have anything to do with it ,obv.A musical makes perfect sense.Dwafffamily-do you know for sure this is for a musical-are your kids going to t...

Re: Should You Tell Your Agent If...
God it's tricky eh?If she got the role it would have to go through the agent,I'm sure,I'm just a bit nervous that they'll find out that I went through other avenues, hence wanting to withdraw the original application! It is a huge audition-there is a rehearsal today with the agency.Think I'll see how ...

Re: Should You Tell Your Agent If...
I also have a similar dilemma I was wondering if anyone could help with?My dc has been suggested for a west end audition some weeks ago by her stage school where she does drama, but she is with an agent who have now contacted me saying they want to suggest her also.I really thought they(the agency) w...

Re: Did I make the right choice?
Did the auditions from the previous agent arise from casting directors requesting you from spotlight or your agent putting you forward for stuff?

Re: Would You Recommend?
Yes the Brit School is Croydon and they do Brit kids for 8-14 yr olds -various saturday classes though for some you have to be 12 for. They do a singing /dancing /drama class. For singing I would recommend private one to one though.Have a look around -some are not as expensive as you might think. My da...
