Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I think it's all unexpected expenses on top, food, going out the train fare coming home. Mine stayed with a host for £100 per week which included food, washing, everything, term time only in her 2nd year as first year host didn't include anything except wifi so we moved her out. We underestimated exp...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I know of two successful Laine auditonees who got offered a DADA this week, by phone, one offered reserve at GSA.
That's the only offers I have heard of this week.

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Does anyone know if any offers have gone out for GSA during lockdown? Have heard of a few that have been told they are on the reserve lists but no firm offers. Also does anyone have any idea how long reserve lists tend to be? Yes, definitely offers have gone out as my daughter is in a group chat. T...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Has anyone else's DC got a place at GSA or on reserve or waiting to hear yet? GSA take 36 students per year, which is great. Foundation are mixed with them in dance sets I believe. My DS has an offer from GSA, also has an offer from Arts. We haven’t made a final decision yet on where he will go but ...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Congrats to all your DCs who have been offered places! =D> Haven’t been on here much this year as had a few disasters and it was looking like nothing was going to happen for DD (after having got so close so many times.) Last year she had a real problem with her voice and so had to audition very lat...

Re: Pre-Vocational Performers College 2019
Something to bear in mind is that Performers is changing a lot from September, they’re going from a First year intake of 120 to 185, they are extending to account for this but it is still a big jump, and apparently the first years don’t get half terms as this is when they’ll have lectures, I think ...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Its difficult alright - that's what they are going off - my daughter got a gold card at Urdangs open day back in December - only 8 out of just over 100 got one and she had built up her hopes that they were interested but then got a recall but could only then send a video for her recall audition and...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I hope you can all get some funding. Do you or anyone else have any idea why somewhere would lose this? I know Tring lost theirs, they had to wait three years until they were eligible again, it was, from what I remember because there were some admin problems, something to do with paperwork. Perhaps ...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I noticed this on their website a while ago but presumed it meant DADA ' Full-Fee Scholarship (Diploma) A new full-fee scholarship is available for students aged 16 to 18 years (inclusive) taking the first step on their professional Dance and Musical Theatre training. This approach will ensure that ...
