Thanks, we'll see how things pan out. We're not sad or bothered about it, she's 10 and adores theatre, the most important thing is that she enjoys herself. As long as she's happy then my life is easy.

They did ask for her height, the only question I was asked and I didn't even get that right - we later found out she'd grown an inch since last audition. I don't mean she's an ugly child, she's beautiful in my eyes, I just don't see her on screen, I guess she doesn't either which I hope didn't acros...

It would be nice if the agents could talk to the CD's and get some feedback, that way it would stop them sending unsuitable candidates.

Took DD last Friday after a really late night and easily start, not sure it could have gone any worse for her - she's a stage girl and not very good at the camera stuff.

In part I agree with you francescamum, but it's important to remember that there are also a lot of very talented girls whose parents can't afford acting classes/ time off work to take them to auditions and will never likely get another chance at anything remotely like this. There's good and bad examples in all walks of life, at the end of year two, teacher gave every child a nicely presented mug - a gift that she had really put a lot of thought in to.

And what's the end of term gift all about?? Never seen it work both ways, I don't contribute anymore and if child wants to buy something for them she can - I feel I have already given them the gift of my daughter to teach for a term.

Regarding 'B' Kids shouldn't have to be in the school play, in the same way they shouldn't have to be in a football team, and some kids shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a stage, even if they, or their mother, think they should be. Why inflict talentless kids on rest of the poor, unsuspecting paren...
