Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Anyone else really hating the waiting? I'm not enjoying waiting for results one bit!!! Yes! Hated it last year and hating it even more this year! DD’s should all come through around the same time next week so just want to fast forward! Certainly worse second time around🙄, still got two auditions to...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Just heard from DD had good audition today, everything went to plan, said not much space in jazz so went all out in the face! Interview just 3 questions, why urdang, where else have you applied to and what course are you applying for. Most people on her group around 19 yrs old so she felt young in c...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
First audition today for DD at Urdang. First one going without me and I will be waiting all day to hear how it’s gone 😬. She had a dip in confidence last week so hoping she can gather herself today and it will spur her on for the other auditions. I hate this part of the process 🤦♀️. Know how the d...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Congratulations on the offer. That’s really positive! Bird seem to put almost everyone on reserve until all auditions done. Only a few get unconditional offers straight away xDancemum1973 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 4:42 pm Dd heard from Bird today and is on the waiting list for the degree.

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
My daughter has almost finished auditioning and we’re thrilled with the outcome! We went into the process hoping just for something somewhere but she has been offered degree at Wilkes, MT diploma at Conti Barbican, diploma at Tiffany’s and pre-voc at Performers. She also has a recall for LIPA Dance...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
People outside of arts don't realise how much it costs or how hard/long/competitive the auditions are. To get an offer in any of these schools is such an achievement xx And yes it is about money too. Talent as well but there are schools my dd would love to have auditioned for that do get the future...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
My daughter has a confirmed place at The MTA, a reserve list place at Italia Conti and an offer of an audition for Foundation at ArtsEd. I think she has rejected ArtsEd - wanting to get down to full-on training asap. But we have a conflict: she would rather end up with a BA and be in a bigger poten...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
My daughter has to choose between Laine 3yr Diploma and Bird Degree, does anyone’s dd or ds go or have been to these which would you recommend? Thank you A great decision to make but I think your daughter may have to think about what she felt about each college. I think when they audition or look a...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
It’s exciting to hear of offers coming through, well done to all, this thread seems to be a lot quieter this year than last year! DD’s are all Feb/March so stressful times to come (well for me anyway, daughter is a lot more chilled this year) and I agree with earlier post, so expensive with hotels,...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
After 3 no's and a recall for PPA from my son's pre christmas auditions, he had his first post christmas audition yesterday at Italia Conti and today has been offered a place. He is buzzing and we are so proud. We have Trinty, Ppa recall, Perfomers, Leeds College of Music and Bird auditions planned...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
I took my DD to all of them last year but reckon I probably made her more nervous..what with checking her bag all the time etc, she’s going with friends off her course to all of her auditions as they have mostly all got the same dates!

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
Dd's first audition next week at Bird. I'm so nervous for her. Tell me it gets easier! Wish I could say it gets easier but personally I found it all very stressful. My DD auditioned last year and she enjoyed the audition days but I was very nervous for her. She decided on a foundation year this yea...
