Re: Changing agency - etiquette?
You would usually have to give notice, though they might release you without holding you to it. The exact notice period will be stated in your contract. And yes, you should tell any potential new agency that she is already represented, and also what your notice period is, and whether or not you've a...

Thanks, Live_theDream - that's really helpful. If we had a 'like' button on here, your post would get loads!!
Re: NYT
So, after the elation of DS getting a recall, we took time to read all the info, and we're upset and annoyed. The show he has been recalled for runs from 1st rehearsal 7 August (perfect) to performances 7-9 September, which would mean missing the first week of school! Even if school would give permi...
Re: NYT
Now I'm quite confused - I though they were offered to join the company as a whole, not for individual productions? It is confusing! The first year that someone is successful, however old they are, they do an NYT Intake Acting Course - there's no production, though when DS did his two years ago, th...
Re: NYT
DS has a recall for Zigger Zagger - given that he was 100% convinced it hadn't gone well, he's as amazed as he is pleased. (And I'm relieved I didn't book a holiday based on his certainty that's he'd be available.)
Re: NYT
Last date I remember seeing was 'by end of May'. I'm glad to hear it may be sooner, though DS is 100% convinced it's a no. He keeps telling me not to bother waiting to make summer arrangements.

Re: Doctor's letter
We changed doctors over hassle with these letters. We explained the situation and went with a surgery that said they'd do a letter whenever required in in 48 hours for £15.

Re: Licensing
I agree that not all will licence quickly. An agent approached us about taking DS on for voiceover work only, but said that licences were generally required at short notice, i.e. in a couple of days. I had a chat with the woman at Herts CC, and she said 7 working days was the minimum she'd commit to...

Re: *Newbie - First Time Post*
I've seen a few posts referring to qualifications that are worth UCAS points. One thing perhaps worth mentioning - my daughter was applying for uni last year and not one of the courses she was interested in (all History degrees at very traditional universities) gave any credit for any points or even...

It says on screenterrier not to reapply if you were seen, but that you can reapply if you weren't seen.
