Re: Dance clothes for training - quantity?
I can assure you the Homebase rail is nothing like the Lakeland one. \:D/ here is a huge diffence between the power of a towel rail and a clothes dryer. A dance belt would take hours to dry on a heated towel rail. It depends what you want to use it for, the heat from the Lakeland one dries towels a...

Re: Dance clothes for training - quantity?
Ooh that’s an idea. I was looking at the heated surer for drying but they were quite expensive My DS has a heated rail dryer as tumble drying would kill his t shirts and dance belts, he would fry them :D Good point and there isn’t the time for them to air dry before he will need them again. I’ll ch...

Re: Dance clothes for training - quantity?
We have a few dance belts and unitards/biketards cos my son is also a sweaty one  he had to wash his dance stuff every day whilst at Mountview but was fine in a shared house with a washing machine but this time in halls with a few machines that are apparently often broken I’ve bought my son a ...

Re: Dance clothes for training - quantity?
We had to get DS 5 x t shirts and vests
Also 5 dance belts as he dances and does cardio daily, however they have lasted well and he won’t need new ones this September.

Re: Low pay/no pay vs you have to start somewhere
You have to understand you don't get to know exactly what everyone does, so my impressions are put together by hearsay/fb/gossip and conjecture I seemed to me that this year more students had jobs by showcase (may) than had jobs by the end of year (july) for the last 2 years put together!! And good...

Re: Housing benefit for BTEC and Foundation 16-18
I started an application off in preparation for September as my DD will be on a Foundation Course. The answer came back that it would be Universal Credit that she applies for but it is too early at the moment to complete an application. I am guessing then that she will get called in to an interview...

Re: Seeds of doubt now
My ds didn't do A levels and went straight to Arts Ed to do the MT BA. He has been in work a lot of the time since (although there have been jobless times). He is currently in Heathers The Musical (not ensemble) and has actually never been ensemble so it is not true for your friend to say that. Onc...

Re: Seeds of doubt now
I think that’s a hideous text to send someone! My DS is academic - started off at 6th form and was thoroughly miserable. He ended up taking AS levels and moving to the AMAZING Emil Dale. We don’t regret a second, the only regret is not going at the beginning of the year and wasting 6 months. Your so...

People will always agree or disagree, that's life can we please not be so sensitive and fearful of offending one another, it's a personal opinion only and spoken from experience, of course there will different experiences, that's life too. We need to be able to debate the subject without feeling pe...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Believe me it’s just as frustrating for boys who have danced since the age of 6 excelling in jazz, tap and modern, and working their way up to intermediate ballet level... might as well not bother! I agree that with the sheer numbers of girls it’s really really tough for them, DS has some incredibly...
