Re: Spirit or Stagebox ?

A lot of the girls in DD’s Spirit group are working professionally as well - of the 12 in her current group, 5 of them are cast in west end roles at the moment. My DD has recently finished a WE run and is currently filming. So, quite often you can work towards a piece, have a main solo and then fin...

Re: Spirit or Stagebox ?

This is an interesting conversation for me at the moment as my DD is currently away with BYMT and she has a very small role in the show and says she has done nothing for the last two days. I’m a little annoyed because we’ve paid £1750 for her to take part and she’s doesn’t seem to be learning as mu...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

An update! Our DS finally heard from Laine yesterday that he has a DADA!!! We are so proud of him (and somewhat relieved) and are enjoying the celebrations this weekend. :D The guy one below him on the waiting list also had a yes this week so the Boys’ waiting list is now down to #5 (or later?) if ...

Re: Seeds of doubt now

Hello Starstruck39, and happy exciting new year to your ds who sounds amazing! Wow, what a lovely decision to have to make :) Finding a host family basically comes down to EDA forwarding you an email address and you taking it from there to do your own introductions, visiting, due diligence, contrac...

Auditioning for 2020 entry

Hi there, 2020 entry is coming!!
thought I would start a new thread as the 2019 thread is in full swing and coming to an end.
It has been a stressful process for all, and I know the new set of applications are or will be underway.
Here's wishing everyone the best of luck for their chosen training..

Re: Should I change DS training and agent or not?

He’s 9 and what’s should be relaxed for both of you doesn’t appear so. Exams like LAMDA etc and grades I believe are Really not important in the grand scheme of things, colleges don’t care or ask what LAMDA you have spent a fortune on. And I class myself as spending a fortune for my son and his exam...

Re: Beginning dance training at 20?

My DS will be 19 when he starts at Arts in September. He ( so far ) appears to be one of the oldest, the bulk of his year will be 18. However I truly don’t feel your DD will be at a disadvantage at all, if anything a couple of years maturity can help with living away, organising work and life etc. ...
