Re: Where would I find a ballet summer school?
Thanks I guess that is the way to go
We will see how much she remembers & how fast she catches up
She has plenty of 'everything else' at least all I can cope with dance wise

Re: Where would I find a ballet summer school?
She gave up 2 years ago (still does lots of other dancing), but has realised (from her) she needs to take it up again. So she needs some sort of remedial/starter/revision thingie I have spoken to a teacher about her starting in September & she is having some private lessons over the summer, but ...

Where would I find a ballet summer school?
Does it even exist?
My daughter (13) needs some fairly intensive ballet training to bring her up to standard; we are in Norfolk (if it matters)
Thanks

Re: Mum without a clue
Great!
Mind you we have a good deal for as long as it lasts; a friend is doing it in exchange for something unspecified (probably some performing & some meals)

Re: Mum without a clue
Gosh so much information
I'll get google out later to see what some of you are talking about
She says she will do some acting & has suggested a week long ballet course in the holidays so she can catch up (just like that)
Now I just need to find one

Re: Mum without a clue
She is very unimpressed at the more drama & ballet
But was quite interested in the 'teaching dance'
We are 'discussing' things

Look at Cuban salsa/Brazilian samba workshops; we have loads here & a big charity day at Whitsun (you just missed it or I would invite you; Norfolk is great for a long weekend) The university isn't exactly a decision, more a "I'm not sure doing performing Arts at Great Yarmouth college inst...

Re: Mum without a clue
Yes the one thing I don't worry about is what Tracey was saying about "a non syllabus dance class, as many kids are taught technique, but not how to let go and just dance" - she does; she picks up routines on the second repeat & choreographs well enough for ISTD Disco Freestyle medal t...

Mum without a clue
Hi everyone, There is a hint in the title; can't sing can't dance can't act. Don't know anything about anything 'performing' at all. I have been given a child who 'wants to do performing arts' apart from a yen for her to be a teacher or accountant, I've decided to go along with this idea for a bit (...
