Re: Sponsorship
Thanks all for your replies and advice. I was thinking of contacting friends who run local businesses and business colleagues who are from our city who know about DD.

Re: Sponsorship
On a similar note, does anyone have a template for a letter asking local companies to advertise in a show programme? I will be e-mailing some contacts later in the week but thought I'd ask on here first to see if anyone has done it before.

Re: how do I begin?

Re: Not-so-lovely Chaperones?
I am a teacher and a chaperone and I would say chaperoning is far, far harder. One of the reasons is that the kids often come in hyped up or very nervous (depending on their experience, the role and their personality). They are there for the fun of it, which isn't necessarily the case when they go t...

Re: New members - please check your messages
welcome messages no longer go out automatically. We just do it ourselves when you tell us you are new. So welcome (from another Yorkshire pudding). You will get lots and lots of advise, encouragement and praise from other NAPMs, something that is sadly lacking in the outside world for some of us!

Re: Very long Summer - is it worth looking for work?
You don't have to pay to subscribe to the jobs list with The Stage, so it might be worth it just on that basis, but it does seem to be a great deal of cruise/holiday park entertainers and children's musical theatre (which are widely advertises elsewhere anyway).

Re: Suzie Lowe Child Agency Books Open
You don't need an agent to audition for most of the children's roles in MT in London as they are open, anyone who knows how to use a search engine can find our casting directors details and submit their DC so why would you need an agent who specialises in this field (and would take about 20% of any ...

Re: Gsa recall
The probably wanted to know how well you knew the character and setting of your Shakespeare piece. If you are just reciting the words and don't really understand what you are saying then asking you to do it in modern English will show this quite quickly I think. I remember learning songs in French a...
