Hello everyone, after some advice on what to do next as In a bit of a quandry! Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Congrats to all your DCs who have been offered places! =D> Haven’t been on here much this year as had a few disasters and it was looking like nothing was going to happen for DD (after having got so close so many times.) Last year she had a real problem with her voice and so had to audition very lat...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

I’m not that convinced that the college year will be starting in September . Maybe I’m being pessimistic but I’m speaking from the perspective as a front line health care professional with a lot of experience and education in public health issues. I know someone working in one of the bigger dance c...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

My DD works in the summer holidays once home. I honestly think it would be too much to work as well as she seems pretty tired with dancing etc all day and essays etc to work on at night. Its one of the reasons I'm so glad she didnt choose London in the end xx

Re: Stella Mann College

Thank you and good luck to your dd too. We do look at the Hammond School but we are just outside London, even though she will have to board where ever she goes, it seems pointless auditioning further up the country. It sounds like your dd has some fab options!! My dd is in her 2nd yr now so startin...

Re: Stella Mann College

My Dd felt that about some of the larger London area Colleges too. DD and I were talking about this earlier x I asked her if she regretted not going to a "better ranked" place. She said no, she thought she was ready for London but once she was in Chester she realised she wasn't and is ver...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

It was a no yesterday for my DD for Arts Ed. They recalled around 10 people and she noted that they weren't the dancers of the group. She didn't feel it would have been a good fit for her so no bad thing really and a positive experience overall. Sorry to hear this but at least she didnt feel it was...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

People outside of arts don't realise how much it costs or how hard/long/competitive the auditions are. To get an offer in any of these schools is such an achievement xx And yes it is about money too. Talent as well but there are schools my dd would love to have auditioned for that do get the future ...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been stalking this website for the last couple of weeks and have found the advice really helpful! My DD is auditioning for 2020 entry and I'm here partly for my sanity, and hopefully to help with some advice too :D DD hasn't had an audition yet, her first ...
