Re: 2021 Graduates!
Where is your DD based Marissa? I think a lot of them have to take the plunge to move towards London, as if an audition comes through, it is often with very little warning!! South Wales!!! It’s her plan to move closer to London sooner or later. But she has a few other bases and is quite prepared to...

Re: 2021 Graduates!
So dd has moved from Chester to London eek! Though she still needs a permanent place to live before her MA starts in October. She had two agent offers, she decided to do the agent showcase (others who were planning further study declined) to keep her options open but she was upfront with agents abo...

Re: 2021 Graduates!
Hello! My DD graduated from Millennium in London last year. She was lucky enough to get an agent through the agents going to the college.(Just as well, as the agent showcase in person didn't happen) She was offered a cruise contract before she graduated, started rehearsals and then 2 weeks in, it a...

Ooo I don’t know if I’m brave enough lol, but there you go! Well done! I can post there in 2 years 🤣 I am dreading graduation, it's all just such a worry - hopefully people will be generous enough to share any experiences in life after graduation. No one else is posting so we will see but Goodluck,...

Re: AGENCY REPRESENTATION AT COLLEGE

2021 Graduates!
Hi all, this journey for our dd and me as a mum has been a rollercoaster, from getting into a school ( all those auditions! ) to surviving a degree during Covid! It’s been really tough for my dd but we have had a happy ending considering everything, very lucky. My dd worked so hard to be where she i...

Re: 3rd year support
Ahh Thankyou both x Yes three years has passed. I really felt for last years graduates and didn’t think it could get any worse but this year has been so hard for them all. My dd has been incredibly lucky and now it’s just a waiting game. Dd had improved so much in her first year that it is such a sh...

Re: 3rd year support
My daughter has just graduated from The Hammond. Sadly this whole year and a half has been a disaster and my daughter has been heartbroken how her training has gone. Not been in one musical show, no agent panel, had an online showcase. final show cancelled. They just had a short showcase at the scho...

Re: Has COVID changed your DC training/career plans?
Very interesting to hear about other people's dcs who we've been following longterm on here. Wishing everyone luck for the next 12 months. And fingers crossed for the whole industry. My ds went down the academic route after school and got a degree from Warwick Uni but has since done a dance diploma...

Re: Has COVID changed your DC training/career plans?
No, She's more determined then ever. DD will graduate this year and luckily she has been enjoying the film side more and more so that may be her adjustment. Right now she is isolating as three other musical theatre in her flat have covid. I'm absolutely gutted for her musical theatre dream but she h...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry
My daughter is in her second year at Manchester School of Theatre, based at Man Met. Having completed the last part of her second year on Zoom, she is really disappointed to have been told yesterday that classes will go back on line. The First years never really got out of the blocks, and have been...

Re: Does being a boy give you a bigger advantage of getting into a 3 year musical theatre/dance courses?
Ballet Cymru is doing a zoom summer school next week. 9-4 everyday for a donation of £50. DD is doing that and then her own dance school has one for £75 the following week. It will be interesting to see how they both go. Although my DD will be going into her last year at The Hammond training must co...
