Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Unless they are also paying your rent I think you’ll find it very difficult. Where did she find her room? After being almost stung once, we need to be careful about who we contact. We found it on a Facebook group called Hustle Homes. It’s all people in the arts. It’s an existing house share. It was...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Unless they are also paying your rent I think you’ll find it very difficult. My daughter has just done a diploma but our earnings mean we only had to contribute about £1,000 percterm. The contact hours are nothing like a traditional degree. Pre-covid she was in college from 8.30am -6pm every day. Th...

Re: MTA college closing

It must be a very difficult time for those students who are half way through their course or were due to start this coming academic year and are now left in limbo. I did read on social media that the college my dd is about to start has offered to take on students. It is another small, personal colle...

Re: 2021 Graduates!

So dd has moved from Chester to London eek! Though she still needs a permanent place to live before her MA starts in October. She had two agent offers, she decided to do the agent showcase (others who were planning further study declined) to keep her options open but she was upfront with agents abou...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

I think it depends on the young person to some extent. My daughter auditioned early. She auditioned at 16 and wanted her auditions to be over as much as possible before GCSE mocks and revision classes. This would be a consideration for those doing A levels too. Ds on the other hand is doing a Btec i...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Unfortunately it's luck of the draw.

Our Dr didn't charge because it turns out he went to school in the same city as dd's college and used to share a bus with students from there but ther should have been a charge.

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Performers offer the Level 3 RSL Extended Diploma which is equivalent to the Btec just a different exam board. But if you've already done a Level 3 qualification or are over 18 you can't get funding for it.

Re: Urdang AVT 2021

I'm actually surprised it got funding in the first place as the qualification they offer is only equivalent to 2 A levels and usually they have to be the three A level equivalent. As a private institution it wold be very difficult to get state funding, they'd have had to go through a lot of hoops or...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

My dd is desperately looking for a flat/house share within cycling distance of Latimer Road so Ealing, Chiswick, Baron's Court, Shepherd's Bush etc. She does not want a party house.
