Re: Children in entertainment law link
Thanks everyone for your replies, our council is by the book and won't issue the licence even though the production company explained that they need to use a supermarket to film when it's closed. The law does say only if the shoot is outside should we be granted a licence so even if we were to appea...

Re: Children in entertainment law link
This is for morrisons and the reason they want Saturday til 10 and Sunday 5-7 is because they need the supermarket to be closed to public. You are fortunate, which councils are you? I want to move to your area!

Children in entertainment law link
Hi, Does anyone have a link to the actual law about work times allowed for children who perform? We are losing on a job as the council won't issue us a licence for after 4.30, they say the shoot would have to be outside by law for them to issue us licence but when I look on other councils info sites...

Re: Licensing dilemma
It was interesting to read your experiences, charlarry. I understand your worry about not wanting to be pushy but I wouldn't call it being pushy in your case, as you didn't go over the heads of the agency wanting to do it yourself quickly first, but you were proactive in getting it sorted out when t...

Private drama tutor
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a private drama tutor for a child in Cambridgeshire or surrounding areas? I have been trying to find one online but would rather use a teacher that someone has some prior knowledge of. Many thanks.

Re: Not sure if he has the job!
It sounds like he is confirmed but the production company want to make sure you can get the licence sorted in time before they "sign the contract" with you?? Is it anything exciting?

Re: From football to acting! help!
what a lucky little boy your son is! the fact that he has a call back already implies that he's got what they are looking for so I would second the advice on being natural at the audition. Hope it goes well and that he gets the part! best of luck
