Re: Songs for 9 yo
I probably should ask him what songs he could suggest but up till now it was working really well with my daughter bringing the songs she knows/likes and working together with the teacher to improve it etc. Thank you for the Seussical idea, we will look into it. I even think we might have the music f...

Songs for 9 yo
I'm looking for suggestions of songs to sing for my 9 yo. Her singing teacher asks us to bring the music and we've run out of ideas. She's done quite a few already from the big musicals eg chitty, SoM, Mary poppins, Wizard of Oz etc Any suggestions of things perhaps less known would be welcome. Than...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
I personally would try and speak to your agent and ask to have castings as late in the day as possible, usually if they are for commercials or films they could try and accommodate but obv for something like MT it's often an early casting so that wouldn't be possible. I think dealing with the school ...

Re: tvc casting
If you follow different agencies on social media, they would often post if one of their kids gets confirmed for the same job so it would give you an idea of where it's going for your child. HTH and good luck!

Where to buy West End tickets from cheaply?
Hi, I was just wondering where the best place to buy discounted West End tickets would be? Apart from the usual googling and from the ticket office itself, do you have a favourite booth in London that you use for discount tickets? A friend with kids is coming over to stay and wants to see quite a fe...

Re: Drama School
My initial reaction is to stick with it as you don't know whether the 'naughty' children might leave next year and things might change for better? It sounds like with you being in Scotland and a 'deprived' area it is a fab opportunity not to be missed if your dd wants to go into acting etc when she'...

which part time schools audition for MT classes?
I was wondering, are there any drama schools (that offer musical theatre classes) for younger kids (say 8+) that audition kids before they take them on? My friend from eastern europe was telling me that they don't accept all children there as they want to have a certain standard in the schools. I th...

Re: Annie - National Tour 2015
Great show! When this was on tour about 4 years ago now, they had at least two Annies, at the moment it looks as if they've only got the one, unless they have more cast already but used only one for photos? and in the last tour the other orphans were cast locally, not sure how they are going to do i...

Trinity vs ABRSM music exams
Hi, my son just changed his piano teacher due to relocation, and the new teacher suggested he uses Trinity music books rather than ABRSM, he's done ABRSM exams before but we are not familiar with Trinity. Could someone tell me what the difference is (if any) please. I know this teacher also enters k...

full time drama schools
Hi,
A friend is moving to the UK from abroad and was wondering about full time drama schools for her son. I could only think of two (Sylvia Young & redroofs). What are some others across the country as she's quite flexible re the location. Needs to be age 10 plus. thanks
