Role of back up child

Could anyone share their experiences with me on what a back up child does on a shoot day? Do they just sit off set all day? Does it vary? Thanks, as always

Wardrobe call

Hi, just wondered if anyone had any experience on the flexibility on timing of wardrobe calls? Does it make a difference if you are featured or not? Thanks, and have a good half term (if it's the same week for you!)

How to make a documentary??

Hello, looking for some tips here! DS has decided he wants to make a short documentary. My technology skills barely extend to pressing record on my phone camera. Is there a really simple package where I can upload a short amount of footage (from my phone), chop it into segments and then add in some ...

Thanks pg. Going to skip this one (it wasn't a role we actually applied or auditioned for so I don't feel I am letting anyone down).

Re: Imbd

Hi, and happy new year! DS has been offered a role which is unpaid but they say it will give him an imdb credit. I'm afraid I can't work out what this actually is. Any info/ thoughts on imdb credits most welcome. Thanks

Re: 16 Year Old Filming In South Africa By Himself

If you are paying for yourself and not asking for expenses or chaperone fees then I struggle to see why the company would mind if you went. In fact I would probably worry as much about that as the travel itself.

Re: Class advice

Hi. I'd see what she enjoys, and how much you can logistically fit in. If it's helpful, our school suggests no more than 1 hour of after school activities during the week at that age to allow lots of time for play dates and relaxing, but everyone will be different. I know lots of people very happily...

Re: shoes for the boys?

V useful links thanks as I need to oder a first pair of jazz shoes for DS. There seems to be some debate about whether it's best to order normal sizing or a size up. He's usually a size 1. Any tips welcome as always, thanks

Re: AFA Management

Ps - I don't think CN is free, I think you have to upgrade to a premium membership or pay each time if you want to apply for a role.

Re: AFA Management

I don't know the agency, but we registered by accident with CN a few months ago when we went to a casting. I thought it was just a very whizzy signing in system when they gave me a half completed iPad page, but when I got home there was a "welcome to CN" email. Anyway, there have been very...
