Re: AUDITION TECHNIQUE AND ACTING SKILLS WORKSHOP - RADA

Hi, this sounds fab but my 9 year old DS doesn't have Facebook or Twitter etc so I wonder if the content would go straight over his head. Anyone got any thoughts? 7-16 is quite a wide age range I guess.

Re: Short films?

Hi - we've done quite a few and enjoyed them all. We have had 1 end up without a film being produced (but DS still enjoyed it). They come up on kccp and starnow websites. You can usually pick the ones that are good vs the ones that will never see the light of day, or have content that I would deem i...

Agent specialisms

Hi, I was wondering, do some agents focus more on TV/film/theatre roles rather than commercials or is it all a mix of what comes up? (I believe there are dance and musical theatre specialisms but was thinking more about acting). If they do tend to specialise, how do you know which? Thanks as always ...

Drama in school

Hi all, this may be a silly question, but how do I help my son choose a secondary school that is really committed to drama (but not a full time drama school). They all say they do regular plays, clubs etc. I'm conscious that as he gets older this may become his main outlet due to the 16 year olds pl...

Hi all. Slightly different q but are there jazz exams? The classes we do are excellent, but no exams. And if no exams, how do you assess progress? Thanks.

Re: Days off School

As far as I know there are no fixed legal limits on time off, although there are conditions in the licensing on providing education on set etc.The school has obviously been supportive so far which is great, so why don't you ask them if they have a policy? If it is likely to be an issue, I would pref...

Re: back up

Me again! We seem to be going thru similar qs at the moment. We had a wardrobe call for the back-up role we just did. I don't have any other experience tho so no idea if that's normal. Hope you enjoyed filming "fruit bowl"

Re: do they always say this...

Interesting theory sophiesocks. We've just been offered the same : a back- up role with a promise of being used as an extra. Will let you know what happens, but our agent is confident it's genuine not an artificial sweetener. That would be a pretty mean trick to play as you can't then position the e...
