Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Aw fab news on getting the degree course! Just a heads up. For Bird They can get a free bus pass through TFL as they will be living in a London borough so don’t discount a small bus ride away. I had the mad scramble to find landlord accomadtion for my DD and one lovely lady explained it to me as I ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Nice to hear more good news. Well done Newbe. Also hopeful that the Bird money is split and not £1000 up front. DD asked her pal who is in 1st year and he said they did have to pay some money but it wasn't as much as £1000 so I think that must be right. In terms of getting ahead with any uniform fo...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Can anyone offer advice regarding any ‘add-on’ costs for new starters in Sept? My DD has received an Induction pack which clearly (and very helpfully) sets out uniform requirements but also a request for ‘Performance fee and Headshots’ which is required very soon. As a complete newbie I wasn’t expe...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Does anyone have experience of Landlord/Lady accommodation at bird? Do they have more than one student? I know my daughter would prefer to have someone else with her. She’s getting a bit jittery now bless her. I know she’ll be fine (bound to be a bit nervous) but just wondering how it works? How ol...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
So happy my daughter received a phone call today offering her a place at Bird College (her first choice) with a DaDa. They’ve also told her she is number one on the reserve list for the Degree course. Just interested to know what people’s views are on diploma with dada and therefore no debt, versus...

Re: Musical Theatre Courses with a full student loan!
Watch out some places seem fully funded but require additional fees which are supposedly optional but are not really eg PPA which asks for an extra £1250 per year for "extra activities" - ie what you should be doing anyway included in any normal fees (we had thread on funding if you can f...

They already do a degree course but you only get £6000 towards fees as a private school also I believe the course is about £14,000 a year so big shortfall.
