Re: Top Talent Agency
Oooh i want a pm! :) did it say terrible things about tt that i should know  HaHa! No, not at all :D . I'm with Top Talent (well, my ds is!) and we are very happy with them. I was basically saying that you won't make a huge mistake if you go with them. I had some wise advice (thanks Deb) whe...

Re: Top Talent Agency
I now am now completely unsure what to do, today I was going to not think about if we go ahead and accept TT and we have had another email from them re docs etc. I've read good things and bad about them and bobe. WWYD? Pass on with TT with the chance with of being accepted by bobe? I've sent you a ...

Re: Fences
That's just horrible, really horrible. I can't imagine why someone would actually say something like that outloud, that's not normal behaviour, even for an arrogant American (and most I've met are super-polite). I hope your dh feels better about this soon - he sounds like a diamond .

Re: CBBC/BBC???
My ds joined Top Talent earlier this year and has already had two auditions with CBBC, so you don't need to worry that you might be missing out on any jobs :D . My ds auditioned for a lead part in a CBBC series and although he didn't get that, they asked him back to audition for another (much smalle...

Re: Helping eachother?
What a very pretty girl :D . I think I would use a different headshot though - the one in the middle of the second row is the standout image for me personally, her big green eyes are mesmerising! She looks very fresh-faced and yes, 'English Rose' describes her perfectly. Best of luck with everything...

Re: Matilda shoes
Hi Ditzi,
I've had a little search on google and the only ones I can come up with are Startrite Beta - and they are available up to a size 1.5. Hope you find her perfect shoes .

Re: Dr Who
He's lovely, swoon And a talented trumpeter too! He would be a terrific doctor, he's soooo cool! He would be an ideal counterpoint to Matt Smith's, slightly manic, doctor.
Gosh, I'm a grown woman debating who would make the best doctor - another reason why I love this site

Re: Dr Who
I know Luke Treadaway has one twin brother, but does anyone else see the similarity to Tom Hughes, the young guy in the first series of Silk? I really thought it was the same person when I saw Luke in a newspaper article.

Re: Daisy and Dukes
Sorry about that, I just went on what my ds's agent had emailed me (and possibly everyone else with his agency) . Genuinely thought it was 1st June, again, sorry.lyndahill wrote:I have always been told by my DD's agent that children's Spotlight deadlines are in November, not June 1st??

Re: info on a CV
I always preface my answers by saying I'm not an expert, but just in cast no one else answers I'll put my two penn'orth in - I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that you have a 'natural, untrained singing voice'. Good luck with your audition .

Re: Difference between Castings & Auditions
A casting is what THEY (the CD, the producers etc) do. An audition is what YOU (actor, singer, dancer) do. That's what I thought anyway .
You can go to a casting, like you can go to an audition - but you, as the performer, can't 'do' a casting like you 'do' an audition.
Does that make sense?

Re: Daisy and Dukes
Just another thought Cupcakes, the deadline for Spotlight entry is coming soon (1st June I think). You've had the photos done (and I assume you paid for them), so you are entitled to know for sure that your dd is definitely going to be included. Bite the bullet, give them a call. I really don't thin...

Re: Daisy and Dukes
My DS was accepted by another agency in March, too. We filled in all the paperwork when we had the photoshoot. I'm surprised you haven't had anything. I dont think they can put your dd up for a job if they are not legally representing her? I am no expert, but I would give them a call, just in case t...
