Re: London college of music
Hi LiveTheDream, My DS goes to LCM. He's in the first year of the 3 year Degree course. Hes really enjoying it so far. He says the teachers are really good and he loves his lessons. Hes more of an actor singer than a dancer and although they do do dance i think the course is weighted more to actor ...

Re: What to do in Hitchin for 5 hrs!
Lotsolaffs you’re very welcome! For those thinking about walking from the station, there are different ways you can go, in my opinion this is the quickest route: as you come out of Hitchin station, keep on the right hand side pavement. Cross the road at the traffic lights (Tesco express on your left...

Re: What to do in Hitchin for 5 hrs!
There’s also a swimming pool close to the town centre if you’re that way inclined. Walking from the station (via Ransoms park shortcut) takes about 15 minutes, I do it with my dd twice a week in the evening, so it’s doable. Walk into town is about half an hour from Edsa and 15 minutes from the stati...

The role for 11-12 was non singing. I have the impression the singing ones were for an older age group.

Re: The Degrees that earn the most
Thanks for posting this paulears, very useful information and yes I agree, very worrying! With ds who wants to study medicine and dd who’s heart is set on performing arts, I feel torn! I’ve always encouraged my children to follow their heart and do what they excel at and think will make them happy, ...

Nothing of value to add I'm afraid, just wanted to say I love this thread, not just for killing time but also for ideas.

Re: Agent or Drama School
I would suggest talking openly to EDA if your dd is really considering it, tell them about your dilemma. They really do have an open door policy and my impression is that they have students signed with different agencies than their own and allow them to attend castings - whether they have limits to ...

In our experience you only hear back if successful, at least in the first rounds.
