Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Ditzi I’m sure your daughter will soon get in to the swing of things- it’ll be audition time again before you know it! We moved my daughter down over the weekend and she started today- will speak to her later although I suspect we will be lucky to get much more than a grunt from her, I think she wil...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
I'd just say be very careful that anywhere any of them find is legit. 2 years ago my daughter got a last minute offer for foundation at RB in Edinburgh and almost signed herself up to to a non -existent flat and would have lost us £1K in the process. Fortunately it was spotted as a scam by m...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
I’m late to this , congrats to all with offers. My DD is also off to Bird in September and staying in Avery hill. Helenb76 is your daughter on the Snapchat group for incoming first years- she might have some luck there. We know of at least one person who got a late offer for another college who has...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Are Avery Hill definitely full? My dd went in to halls (albeit 4 years ago) and you couldn’t even apply for halls until August Yep definitely full. Dd stayed there last year when on foundation and they didn’t open til July but they released them in April this year. No accredited landlords either so...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
It's not that far from Rose Bruford is it? My daughter is going there and we've found same thing. Mine tried applying for private housing but she also wasn't helped that she got a late offer so couldn't look earlier and the student houses seem a bit reluctant to take on an unknown first year...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
DD found out she was mid-list at bird on Monday but then received a phone call today offering her a place on the degree- much excitement in our house! Hopefully this means some movement for some of you who are still waiting. Now the battle for accommodation begins!

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Bird foundies have now got their audition results so I guess we can expect to see some offers coming out in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed! Fingers tightly crossed here. Our DD has been patiently waiting since March on the reserve for degree . God luck to everyone waiting to see if they ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Currently killing time while dd is at Artsed - I’m sure you all know that feeling! Does anyone know if they have two parts and are either asked to stay on for the afternoon, or is it all day? I forgot to ask her! 🙄 We’ll done to everyone with offers, we’re still waiting on two after this, but on th...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Just to say thanks for the premier inn suggestion for performers, it worked brilliantly and was really easy to get a taxi. DD didn’t get an offer on the day and although she knows that there is still a chance of an offer she’s decided to write it off in her mind and move onto the next one despite fe...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
We stayed in Premier Inn Basildon. We used A&B taxis to get to Performers. I’m believe there is a bus that runs from close to hotel but it seemed to run once per hour. A&B have an app, and were very responsive. I think fare was around £7. Is you DD 18 or over? As hotel probably won’t accept...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Great, thanks! I’d seen that one and thought it looked the most likely option. Is it close to the train station or would it be another taxi?

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Dd has an audition at performers in a couple of weeks. Originally a friend who was also auditioning on the same day was going to drive them both there but she has now had her date changed. Looking at public transport it seems to take about 2 hours from where dd is living (she’s on a foundation year ...
