Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

My daughter is starting on the MT degree at Conti in September. We've signed her up for the halls in Guildford, they are expensive but she's keen to live there for first year to meet people from other courses, not just MT. I believe the halls are now offering the option of a free bus pass, worth ov...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

I don’t remember how much for the bus, but inevitably several times a week travel I certain would not fit around the bus. Plus DD has relied on trains to get her to college for the last two years and she decided she would rather take her chances with shanks pony at least for this first year. My dau...

Re: Performing arts 6th form colleges

Random post, but if anyone has a DS going to EDA & wants extra kit, I have mens large labelled jumper and bottoms that I’d happily post you for postage cost. Seems ridiculous to just throw them away, very good condition. DM me if anyone wants them.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Congrats! I'm really glad she had some good news! My dd has a recall at Conti but we don't know much about it- she missed all the open days etc. Can you shed any light on the feel, number of students, amount of dance, singing lessons etc? Also what to expect at recall? She would be grateful for any...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Hi, thanks for the replies to my interview question. Sorry, I have another question! We’re applying for musical theatre 6th form at Emil Dale and we’re trying to fill out the ‘what makes you unique?’ question. We’re really struggling with this and wondered if anyone could give us some tips on how t...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Hi All, thanks for the previous replies about the Open Days. We've hit a brick wall, we were getting all excited booking the open days and looking into auditions and I've just found out that they can't get Student Loans at 16 for the Diploma. I know she could possibly try to get a DADA but it would...

Harry2003 wrote: Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:05 pm I can highly recommend Emil Dale. It’s 5 full days, excellent training. Obviously, there is a cost element to cover the additional hours - you get what you pay for. The college are also helping them with their auditions for degree courses.

As we reach the end of the journey as our DD has her graduation ceremony next Saturday - wanted to wish everyone starting in the coming weeks the absolute best Wherever they go - whatever they do they've achieved so much just by being accepted at these phenomenal colleges. Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

I said I'd update my news when I could. This week my daughter has received an offer for foundation at Rose Bruford and has decided to take it, over the degree offer she had for Acting at a less well known place. Fantastic news lawn! Lots of planning to do no doubt now. Exciting times 😁 Certainly, l...
