Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
A bit inexperienced on here hope this works!! I have a question on the Urdang 'optional 3rd term' please if anyone can help - how exactly does it work for Y1 and Y2 for degree? Thinking about training, accommodation, agent (is it worth trying to keep them for work in that third term?), costs etc. T...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Degree courses - I can only speak for Urdang where my daughter is and I can say that the contact hours that she does significantly exceeds the required hours to qualify for a degree programme. Many days she starts her first class at 8:30am and does not finish her day until 6, sometimes she ends at 7...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Just looking ahead to the 2023 audition cycle and thinking of choices, and how to make the best use of the next few months in terms of training. - top choices are RWCMD, GSA, Mountview but given how competitive they are to get in, we want to put some other good options down too, so considering whic...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I am thrilled to say my DS auditions are now done! He has been offered Urdang, Arts Ed and now GSA (Mountview recall he is going to cancel) he’s going to make up his mind on the offers he currently holds. Champagne is in order tonight! Congratulations on such fabulous offers, my DD's favourite audi...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
It seems that Arts Ed have changed their recall part of the audition recently from what I had understood it to be. As I understood it, the recall consisted of a carousel type affair where the candidates did a session each on monologues, songs, physical check and interview. DS had quite a different ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
I guess one good thing about Urdang is their track system so they can choose if they want to stay triple threat or go down the more dancer route or actor singer. Has your dd decided which track she will choose? Yes it is helpful. I’m assuming it will be the dance route but we’ll see once she’s done...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Thank you . Her strength is her singing and acting but is still a strong dancer .. good to have advice - how would you compare Urdang in the mix too ? My daughter is in her first year at Urdang. We always knew them in the past to be mainly dance focused, however this has changed over recent years i...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Thank you .. that is great to know . And do they have halls ar Urdang or is it house shares ? Is she happy at Urdnag, my daughter really liked the audition day? There aren’t any halls at Urdang, just house shares and various student accommodation. Some are really close to the school, others are fur...
