Re: Self tapes and monologues - a bit of market research!

I think what we have struggled with over the years has been actually finding suitable monologues and then know what to do with them. Re: NYT

Now I'm quite confused - I though they were offered to join the company as a whole, not for individual productions?

Headshots

Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced headshot photographer preferably in South or Central London?

Audition speech

My DD has an audition with NYT this weekend and we've just noticed she needs to prepare a '2 minute speech from a published play' (bit slow on the uptake us!). Can anyone make a suggestion for a 15 year old girl? We've racked our brains and haven't come up with anything remotely age appropriate! Man...

Re: NYT Audition Process

They say to prepare a monologue from a published play - do you think that could include something from a musical?

Have an NAPM's got experience of this company? Would be good to get a recommendation prior to booking.

Arts Ed Saturday School

Hi there - does anyone have any experience of the weekend courses at Arts Ed? DD wants to attend but its a heck of a long journey for us, so want to make sure it's worth it!

Many thanks!

Saturday schools

DD currently goes to a Saturday school, but she is finding a little bit unstructured - lots of improvised games etc in the drama part and more of a singalong in the vocals bit. Most of the children there are not very experienced and I think, as she has been in a few shows, she would like something a...

Re: Nymt summer residential

My dd was 12 when she went last year - she had a great time and was very well looked after, both by the 'officials' and especially the older girl who were really kind to her. They all became one big family and still keep in touch. So please try not to worry!

Re: Brit school

Miss Patricia - please could you tell us a little about the non-performance related side of things? How much time do they spend on academic subjects? Are their exam results good? We're considering Brit school for dd in a couple of year's time, but I'm anxious that she has the back-up of a good all-r...
