Re: Retaking 2nd year?

Just to update you all- my daughter is allowed to restart second year in September! I’m still a bit dubious but I guess she gets another year of training and is a lot happier in herself. Said she feels like a weights been lifted x

Re: Retaking 2nd year?

2nd year of sixth form or degree or if diploma with Dada or not? On a 'usual' degree there is a gift year of funding that can be used if student fails a year. Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

DD (16) has 3 offers on the table so far and still to hear from 3 others for 2021 intake which is fantastic. Two of her offers are 3 year diplomas (ROM Theatre Arts and Liverpool Theatre School) but her preferred college is Bird and she auditioned for the L6 diploma there too. She's received an ema...

Re: Has COVID changed your DC training/career plans?

Hi all, My daughter is a first year at Bird and we’ve now just received an email that for November they have 7 hours of face to face classes a week and then 3 hours a day of online classes. As of the 4th December they are fully online. I just don’t understand because schools are in full time so why...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

My daughter is in her second year at Manchester School of Theatre, based at Man Met. Having completed the last part of her second year on Zoom, she is really disappointed to have been told yesterday that classes will go back on line. The First years never really got out of the blocks, and have been...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

My daughter at Bird now only has 7 hours a week face to face classes and then some online ones. We have no space at home for online so she’s been going to my mums but now with the increase this isn’t going to be possible so what are others doing? My daughter got a dada but college is costing us a f...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

My daughter still only has 3 classes a day face to face and then some online. Next week it’s changing and the first years all think it will all be online so that the 2nd and 3rd years can return. It really concerns me - I know it’s done for safety etc but I wonder how the students are going to be at...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Hi all,

I was just wondering what other colleges are doing with their timetable? My daughter has just started at Bird and has 3-4 hours a day in college in a bubble of 10 and then 1-3 hours of online work each day. X

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Anyone with Bird students can you explain how the reserve list works? Do they have some places ready to start dishing out or are we just waiting for people to change their mind. Heard various differing things. Some say only 25% of places are offered straight after audition but from what people have...
