Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry

Jumping on the post my DD is auditioning this year for Diploma courses, she has decided where she wants to audition and we are in the process of compiling a list of all the different photos she needs, I’m concerned my camera skills might not be up to it! All the best of luck to her and all others a...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

I'm so happy to be at the end of this process! Second year of it for us, as DD chose pre-voc at Performers rather than a degree offer elsewhere last year. THE STRESS!! To be fair, to give hope to those in a similar position this year, it has been less stressful this time around as DD knew what she w...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Just adding to the previous ArtsEd recall advice - DD had to sing her first song in full (not just the one minute version) and a short section from her second song. Some people are asked to sing certain exercises and others work on one of the songs a bit more. DD did both monologues and just worked...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

It's a lovely time of year this, hearing about all the offers that have come through. Well done everyone and fingers crossed if you're still waiting. It's a tough time! DD has been on the pre-voc at Performers, which I have to say, turned out to be an excellent choice for her, having turned down a d...

Re: Auditioning for 2021 entry

Please can anyone give any opinions/advice on Urdang vs Bird for triple threat degree. DD wants to focus on all 3 disciplines equally. I’m aware that Urdang does the track system in year 2 for triple threat but I am guessing they are not guaranteed to get on that track? And not sure what happens at...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

If there remains any Performers parents pulling their hair out having not found accommodation yet, I've had 2 messages this morning from landlords! One room at £625pcm in Stanford le hope (Near the station apparently) and the other £400pcm a 5 minute walk from college. Both have performers students ...

Re: Bird Reserve List

I’m guessing there hasn’t been much movement in the list as no reports here? We haven’t heard of anyone from the 5 or 6 girls we know. My Dd told she is mid-list so she’s stayed on the list but has committed really to Performers pre-voc, especially now I have found accommodation for her. Good luck ...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Good evening everybody! I hope all your lovelies are a little closer to realising their dreams today. What a wait! DD has made her final decision and it's going to be the Pre-voc at Performers. I so can't wait to do all this again next year! \:D/ The Performers Pre-voc uniform list could be generou...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

So if she does get offered another one we can just pull out of the current one? She really wants to go to Performers but the travel will cripple us and can’t afford accommodation- Bird is only 5 mins down the road x Do Performers offer any bursaries on top of the dada for accommodation? Good luck w...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

I’m confused with the thread. Can people clarify things. My dd auditioned via video for colleges and is waiting to hear back from them, but I can see lots of people have either heard back and have been placed on a reserve list. Also people who have already been put on a reserve list are still waiti...

Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

Wow that’s quite an increase, but no different to when diploma and degree together I guess? Bird is a similar size isn’t it? Pros and cons of large group vs small year group anyone? How many to Artsed and Mountview take - less than 40 for the whole year group or is it 40 for diploma and 40 for degree?

Tess50 wrote: Sat May 02, 2020 5:10 pm OMG surely that can't be right - an intake of approx 235 in total ? That's a huge intake - might message them to find out.
Did you manage to find out?
