Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Hi I just wanted to thank everyone who had given me advice either by DM or on this thread for my DD's offer for foundation at Conti. All really good advice - she's been back and forward over what to do but has just accepted the place! Now very excited to be there for a year - just got to sort accom...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Rumour has it that Conti send audition results through when their foundation students aren’t in school which is very considerate so that would be late evening or the weekend.DD was in the recall for Arts on that Tuesday and has yet to hear anything. Waiting is the worst bit and even then, at best t...

Re: HELP PLEASE
As the mum of a fellow first year it has been a real rollercoaster. The initial elation, sobbing at October half term and Christmas not wanting to go back. This term an injury meant she could dance and was really miserable then. This week seems to be better as the performances are becoming clearer -...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Hello to those who have joined us! @Alro, I am sure your DD has the right idea to get organised and audition early. Sadly DS, although very keen, does not really do 'early'. He's in a show in half term, and juggling rehearsals and schoolwork, so every time I suggest maybe looking at some monologues...

Re: Mt sixth forms
Read College in Reading they have an access to the arts fund to help with the fees.
DD is now in the first year at Conti and says she is appreciating just how good the Read training was.

Re: Colleges and their different focuses
Conti is the only place where there is truly even triple threat everywhere else has a sight bias towards one skill. Urdang/Bird - slightly more dance. Though Urdang has an actor/singer group from year 2. Moutview - slightly more acting. Does your DD have any advice as to what her strengths are? My D...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
My DD is also very happy. After years of convert churches and church halls she is adoring Conti’s brand new facility.
Legit MT this term and having previously been a reluctant legit performer she is loving it.

Re: Amount of jazz dance at 6th form college

In year 2 they added 2.5 hours of audition dance and 1.25 hours of MT dance. Her cohort are all just starting...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
](*,) Thanks MTDreams, good to hear success stories! He isn’t confident with dance so just got to work on a bit of self belief! It is often the technical dance. Find a good dance teacher who runs an adult ballet class to get him a good basic foundation in ballet can really help. Doing the same with ...

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
It’s an OCR extended diploma so similar to a BTEC equivalent to 3 A levels, but very practical. They had their results 1/7.

Re: Auditioning for 2022 entry
Just like any other course you should contact the institution as there maybe some flexibility with the offer.
Good luck tomorrow, so glad DD OCR and we already know, don’t envy anyone waiting.
