Do you mind me piggy backing on this and asking if DDs and DSs have to have professional experience before applying to an agent? My DD (age 16) has tons of amateur experience and also performed with BYMT but doesn’t have spotlight etc.

DD is taking music with voice as her instrument but to be honest not really necessary. She has really enjoyed the GCSE though and was able to look at composition so it gave her another string to her bow performance wise. She has been told she could do AS / A level music without it as long as she has...

Hi Chelsie My daughter is continuing with A levels in September. Music, English and History. I'm new here and can't offer a similar experience, but just a thought. My own DS talks to me so much better when we are driving in the car. I don't think he feels like i'm quizzing him too much rather than having a little chat.

It might be worth a try.
