Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

I've not been on for a while as my DD has decided on a gap year, but just to say congratulations to everyone whose children have recently been awarded places and DADAs over the past few weeks. Thinking about all of you who are still waiting - it must be so stressful (and we may be in this situation ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019 - 6th Form

Hi all, my DD is currently in her second year of A-levels, and due a few things this year (1 cancelled due to snow, and illness ) she attended only 1 audition in the end so has decided on a gap year next year and to audition for 2019. I feel better prepared for the second time around! She is hoping ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Phew reading all these posts make me realise that maybe DD going for Hammond is the best choice x can't imagine what it must be like waiting for funding too! Yes you are right a place at The Hammond with student finance is just fantastic, the worst is being offered a place at your dream college wit...

Re: Nearly there?

Feels like we are nearly there with auditions, results and decisions after this flurry of activity. I was only away for a day and there has been so much on this thread. Good luck to those who have choices to make; well done to those who have already come to a decision about this year or the future ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

We had to do the same Robin64 after having been to GP twice, ended up taking to emergency care in the evening. Only symptom now is that when DS has cold/sore throat just hits him harder. Although really recommend pure manukka honey as he recovers quickly with it. How is your DD today Rhythmanddream...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Check for glandular fever. Both my DDs had this and severe sore throat with white stuff in the throat is the main sign of it. Ask doctor to test for it. Needs steady recuperation and rest - at least 2 weeks off school or college. I would ring about the audition - there may be something that can be ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Bad news on our front I am afraid. DD was supposed to be auditioning for Chichester this coming weekend (following her cancelled audition a few weeks back due to the weather) but she is ill :( . Ulcerated tonsils, can barely speak let alone sing and feeling very unwell in general, and has been like ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Funny you mention that because it turns out my DS also has a recall at Brighton Academy (first round was at DS' college). I don't know much about them, I did ask on here a while ago and other than someone say they had heard good things from people they knew who were attending. I know they have thei...
