Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Hi, has anybody waited longer than the 2 weeks for a reply from GSA acting (first audition)? DD auditioned 2 weeks ago at a regional audition and we are still waiting, where as a couple of her friends that auditioned the day before heard a week later, they were on the MT course though. Many thanks ...

Re: Btec extended diplomas

So you see dd that did Btec before will only really be able to branch out into music production areas unless she gets more training. Dd that did alevels will always have English, psychology and drama alevels to help her go into other jobs should she decide musical theatres for her. English opens up ...

Re: Btec extended diplomas

Oh I just wrote a long reply and it disappeared! My eldest did a Btec in music production and now a degree in it so it limits her future jobs. In fact she now wants to change direction so will have to do more training! My other dd did a levels before degree and is finding the written work easy x and...

Re: Btec extended diplomas

Can someone clarify please how can doing A levels open up more doors, should a dc decide to change careers later on. What confuses me is if the Btec Extend diploma is equivalent to 3 A levels, what advantage is there on doing 3 A levels, apart from the academic side? From what I understand, the “eq...

Re: Btec extended diplomas

I will add that my dd did alevels, English, psychology and drama. She is doing a musical theatre degree and she has noticed that she is finding the written side of it a lot easier then she thought. I feel alevels prepared her for that side well.

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

My daughter was most nervous for the Brendan Cole show as due to Collabro, assessments and half term she felt they didn't have enough rehearsal time but apparently it went really well. (Unfortunately she came home early yesterday with a sickness bug) Is your dd at The Hammond or another school? I’v...

Re: changing track at 17 (Y13/repeating Y12) options? Cambs area

It’s very hard to say what’s best or what’s right in this business x Personally I liked the fact my daughter did her a levels. English, Psychology and drama. I felt that no matter what she will have these to help her in the future esp if she changed direction. I also feel that the essay writing in t...
