Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

I wonder if our Daughter's are at the same college Hilltop, I was going to say the same! Is it a boy? Yes, it’s a boy. The second boy from the college to get a GSA MT offer this year, which is crazy considering the college is very small! Then I definitely think they are at the same college 🤣 were y...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Has anyone heard if there has been any offers from GSA MT reserve list as yet? My DC is waiting and curious to know if there has been any offers / no's yet? Someone at my DD's college was offered a place last week from the reserve list. I wonder if our Daughter's are at the same college Hilltop, I ...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Just to add because I have also been thinking 'am I just paying for my DD to have three years of fun rather than good training', we've spoken to a few of DD's teachers and the general consensus is that there are obviously very very good schools in the UK and the IAB is no better than them, so the fa...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Does anyone know much about IAB in Barcelona? DD added to her applications without knowing a huge amount about it .. now she has an offer for the BA In MT. She’s been offered a callback for MV Foundation .. and has round 2 at Italia Conti tomorrow. IAB looks legit and she is doing A level Spanish s...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

My DD has been offered MT Foundations at Italia Conti and Bird, and we just wondered what other people’s experiences or knowledge of these two colleges were. IC is funded whereas Bird is not so this is a consideration. She very much wants to get an all round triple threat training. She has some more...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Thank you for your replies, they did say in the email and at the morning presentation that not being called for an interview doesn’t mean it’s bad news, but everyone my DD knows that got an offer from previous years and this year had offers after interviews. TBH I’m not sure it’s the right fit for h...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Does anyone know if Performers ever offer a place without asking for an interview? They say getting an interview has no bearing on offers but everyone my DD knows had an interview before offered a place on the day and her friend was offered a place today after an interview. My DD was not offered an ...

Arts1 results on Friday. I’ll cry if that’s a no!!
Sorry to hear that MTEast, I've heard it said on here and elsewhere that they all end up where they are meant to be

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

By top up do you mean a masters after a degree elsewhere? Again I believe you would need to audition and be offered a place. Unless you mean something else? Hi Lawn, yes I’m not totally sure, I think a masters could be included in this and yes, you’d have to re audition. I’ve heard of a few situati...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

@Hilltop, by 'professional qualification' do you mean a diploma instead of a degree? I'm not an expert but I would think going for a reputable foundation with the aim of a really good school for degree afterwards might be a safer bet. But that's just my feeling. I don't know enough about diplomas, ...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry

Thanks for the replies to my Conti audition prep course post. Really useful. I think we have recognised for a while now that my DD would be very happy with a Foundation level course offer at any of the good colleges. Her PA 6th form college is good but it’s not up there with the likes of EDA or Arts...
