Re: What do you look for in an agent?
D&D are very selective and there’s very little internal competition. My daughter has been with them almost 3 years and is submitted for and had more casting opportunities and work than friends children with some other agencies that are “well known” and “selective”. Her friends went to two castin...

Re: Meeting with Head Teacher
Our head, and indeed our school as a whole, was initially very sceptical about DD being signed to her agency. They even had a meeting with the governors about her where they agreed to 5 days a year, or so I was told. The actual outcome from the governors was 5 days to begin with to see if the days l...

Re: Daisy & Dukes
My daughter joined D&D in the last round of auditions and has been to casting for TVC and TV work so far. She's also been pencilled and I agree with the other comment that the agency is just great. The communication is fab and it's very well managed. My daughter really enjoyed the audition proce...

Re: Help RE:School being difficult
It gets even more strange! Having spoken to the head receptionist, who also deals with attendance, she said that she wasn't going to send me the letter she was asked to write from the governors because it's ridiculous and clearly won't work long term. She said, very cloak and dagger, that I should j...

Re: Help RE:School being difficult
The school don't seem to care. They seem to be dismissing it and their stance is that I should be extremely grateful for the 5 days they've offered. My daughter had to turn down a part with 6 days commitment over this month and next because of a problem with travel and I supplied the email about it ...

Help RE:School being difficult
Hi everyone! I'm new to all this but hoping someone can help. My daughter signed to an agency in the summer. Her school initially said they would not be happy about it but would support her. Now they have said they will authorise 5 days a year! Having spoken to the LEA I know they can and will go ab...
