Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

My daughter has not long graduated from Bodens College of Performing Arts and I would fully recommend them - the training and performance opportunities there really are amazing and they offer their FULL-TIME training for FREE!!! My daughter completed their Extended Diploma course (2 -Year) from 16-1...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

I haven't had to use this site recently as my daughter is currently training for her degree. But I've had a nose around, and remember all the anxieties and heartache we went through when she was auditioning... I hope you're all getting there now!! I have looked at many of your posts - and common the...

Re: Seeds of doubt now

Have you spoken to them about what units they cover as part of the qualification - as this will give you a good indication of their two year training plan, and the study areas to ensure it is right for your son. My daughter completed a Level Three Extended Diploma (2 year course) at Bodens College o...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Hi, I have just posted this on another thread - but it seems relevant here too (Sorry if you see it multiple times!) I have just read an article in the stage about students being picky about where they go. It says something about waiting for a top drama school to help them at castings in the future,...

Re: Where are our Sept 2018 starters going?

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this info - but I noticed a parent somewhere discussing the price of training, and have just read an article in the stage about students being picky about where they go. It says something about waiting for a top drama school to help them at castin...

Re: CPA Closure and other college’s responses

Hi all, I just thought i'd mention Bodens College of Performing Arts - in case you know any the CPA students still struggling to find places this late in the year. They offer free performing arts training (my daughter has just graduated after spending three years with them). I've copied their course...

Re: Government funding at 16

All sixteen year olds in this country are eligible for free training for three years after completion of their GCSEs - year twelve, year thirteen and gap year/year fourteen - providing they are enrolled on an accredited course, graduating with recognised qualifications. My DD has been attending Bode...

Re: 16+ confused!!!

I'd recommend Bodens College of Performing Arts. www.performingartscollege.co.uk They offer free full time training - there are no fees to pay at all and they are there all day every day! They provide outstanding training in all three disciplines, provide an enormous amount of performance opportunit...

Re: Vocational training at 16

Hey, I think it's important to stress that vocational courses at sixteen should be used as a platform in which to continue training - and do not mean someone is the 'finished product' as they are still developing. I feel that vocational courses at sixteen should only be considered if they provide le...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

I sent Bodens an online enquiry about something that was on their website and have not had a reply either. Hi, Just noticed this... did you get a response from Bodens? Let me know if I can help in anyway. --- HELP! I am looking at degree options at the moment (my DD is 19, and will have completed h...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

RE: Bodens College of Performing Arts (Pathways) Sorry for the delay in getting back to you... Spoke to DD, apparently, students have progressed onto RCSSD, LAMDA, RADA, Mountview, E15, Rose Bruford, Royal Scottish to name a few. With regards to dance - the current timetable provides at least two cl...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Yes, I agree too. Kids have the opportunity to train for FREE for three years after completing their GCSEs - they should make the most of it! That's what we've done, and thankfully it's all worked out for the best. DD's got fantastic grades in her BTEC, is currently working at Foundation Degree Leve...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

I didn't ever ask that question before (re Bodens funding) - they are government funded through Big Creative Training, and will not become a fee-paying organisation. With regards to dance... I think most recently, their graduates have been accepted onto acting and musical theatre courses. I will see...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Hi all, My DD has trained at Bodens College of Performing Arts. This is a drama school - not a normal BTEC college... I might be incredibly bias, but I have never seen such a professional standard of work from 16-20 year olds. They offer a Level Three Foundation Diploma and a Level Three Extended Di...
