Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
DD has decided to accept a place on the acting foundation at Italia Conti. Coincidentally one of her best friends has also been offered a place on the same course and she made friends with a couple of girls at her audition who are also going there. So the 4 of them are hoping to live together. DD r...

Re: Drama school
I hope that I can offer some support for all you parents and students out there who haven’t had the news you wanted this year and maybe this is your 2nd or 3rd year of trying. It’s so hard to keep watching your child fail and then watch as they pick themselves up, dust themselves off and try and ge...

Has anyone's DC's done this before and know whether the cast have to arrange their own accommodation or if it's like the intake course where they are all toge...

Re: Artsed Acting Foundation
Congratulations to your DD! My DD is on the BA Acting at ArtsEd. Two of her housemates are ArtsEd Acting Foundation students and they absolutely love it. They've both had multiple offers for 3-year/degree courses this year and I understand many others on the Foundation course have been successful wi...

Re: Alra Audition
I wondered if anyone who had an audition for ALRA recently could share their experience. DD auditioned for ALRA last week. After the first stage about half were recalled, including DD, and put in 3 groups for the second stage. After the second stage everyone in her group was told they could go and ...

Re: Dance question
Thank you all. He very much wants to be an actor, always has since he was 4!! He isn't much of a dancer and doesn't enjoy it. He's very focused on his drama, does weekend school where they act and sing but no dance and is also doing LAMDA. It's just very hard being told he must dance if he wants to...

Re: Investment Income - (DADA)
You only declare income from savings that you pay tax on. Income from ISAs is tax free so you don't declare that on a DaDA application.

Re: Boarding families
The list gets sent to successful students nearer the summer before they start. From experience it is a very popular option. Each family is different as to what they provide so best to visit a few to get a view of how your dd would feel. Thank you! do you have an idea of what costs may be. I know it...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
My DD had her recall at Drama Centre on Saturday. That's her last one for this year.. fingers crossed! She is definitely going to hold out for drama schools - university is just not for her at all. She's just completed a full time performing arts course at Bodens College of Performing Arts, and sho...

Re: Final Recall round at LAMDA
Hi Rhymie I am new to this Forum and have found many interesting posts although mainly about MT. My DD has been applying for straight acting courses for the first time this year and she is 17. We were quite naive about it but she did lots of research and went to see productions at as many drama scho...
