Re: Auditioning for 2020 entry

I think part of the problem is that most colleges don’t have their own accommodation so publishing costs is very difficult Right move do have a student area to look up places near to the address of the college I have a friend whose daughter is at Bristol Uni studying Architecture and her accommodat...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Can I just ask for some advice. My daughter (will be 18) is starting a Pre-Vocational year at Performers in September. I understand that when the accomodation pack comes out it is a bit of a free-for-all so wondered if anyone had any advice. What do you actually have to do when the pack comes out? ...

Its True Felicity you certainly do miss them but all I can say is each time mine comes home from Arts its like they've never been away, and the singing around the house is just so lovely to hear again. :D

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Well DD got through to the interview stage at her GSA recall today but is not convinced she will get an offer. There were about 30ish there (only 4 were boys) and I think DD said 6 got asked to stay for an interview, including DD and her friend from the Arts Ed Foundation. DD told me they would hea...

Re: Beginning dance training at 20?

My DS will be 19 when he starts at Arts in September. He ( so far ) appears to be one of the oldest, the bulk of his year will be 18. However I truly don’t feel your DD will be at a disadvantage at all, if anything a couple of years maturity can help with living away, organising work and life etc. ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Congrats to all those with DC getting offers through! We are second time round as DD is on the Foundation at Arts Ed (which she loves) but has only just started auditioning again for BA courses. She’s got a couple of offers so far, including a degree offer at Urdang made without recall after her au...

Hi , I think they usually get told if accepted a couple weeks after audition then you get a few weeks to accept.

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

I must admit as a mum of a boy who has been dancing and training in tap and ballet for 12 years and is at a pretty high standard, it boils my pee a little that other lads are accepted into top colleges as 'trainable'. And that they are all at the same standard after a year. I could have saved mysel...

Hi hilltop and robin64 Mine had been training in all disciplines, not just dance, for 14 years ,prior to auditioning and I certainly would not say that they are all at the same level at the end of the first year, there is a vast difference between a year of dance lessons and a lifetime building fou...

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

DS did the BA in MT at Arts Ed and absolutely loved the whole three years. DS knew the minute he walked into the building for his audition that that was the college he wanted to go for. He had auditioned at the others but just didn't feel the same about them. It is hard work and long hours (8am-6pm...
