Re: BA / Foundation MT courses Sept 18

Travelodge is literally one minutes drive from Hammond. You would need to go to the adjoining Toby carvery for breakfast etc. It isn’t fancy but it is reasonably priced, plenty of free parking and best of all very close to Hammond. Good luck!

Re: Sixth Form and future training when?

If your DC is good at dance you could also consider Urdang for a degree course. I have a feeling however that their degree fees are £12,000 rather than £9000 or DC is mainly acting there is Rose Bruford in Sidcup. I think that is 'only' the normal tuition fees. Central is mainly acting with a MT cou...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put results

That's interesting that at Bird you used to be able to purchase vouchers to exchange for 1-1 singing lessons. I would certainly urge DD to do that at Hammond if it happened to be on offer as singing is probably her weakest bit. Also excellent news that degree students were able to stay to take part ...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put results

My DD is starting on the BA course at Hammond in September so I am always very interested to hear what everyone has to say on the subject. I have to say that DD was surprised and delighted to be offered a place there as she knows she isn't one of the 'mega-talents'. She also really liked the place w...

Re: Elephant in the room

Yikes - always a problem! I was really happy when Hammond said that they will be doing a final year showcase for their graduating BA students which agents will attend (this already exists for the Diploma students) - I didn't even give a thought to Spotlight or know much about it. It seems, as people...

Re: BA MUSICAL THEATRE COURSE FOR SEPT 2018

Hi GDADSTAXI - nice to have you on the site! My DD is meant to be starting on the degree course at Hammond this September. I have certainly heard quite a few good things about the course but you say (or hint) that you have also heard some bad. Just wondering if you might willing to give any more det...

DaDA for Diploma students and not BA

Hi - thanks for your rapid replies. I now understand! The DaDAs are only potentially on offer for the diploma students at Hammond and not for the BA students. We'd better get cracking with the student loan form ASAP - just wanted to make sure we weren't missing out on anything!

Hammond graduate showcase/daDAs for BA students

Hi Everyone - thanks so much for all the interesting replies regarding whether Hammond is likely to offer a final year showcase for the BA students. Of course I had forgotten that as it is only about to go into its third year this September no-one has actually arrived at that point as yet. Once they...

Do Hammond BA students have a final year showcase??

Hi There. I have noticed a couple of questions which have been posted regarding whether Hammond offer a final showcase for the BA students at the end of their third year which would then travel to London with the opportunity for agents to watch and possibly make offers?? I know the diploma students ...

Hammond accommodation and buses etc

Hi There. I have just noticed that Mummyofthree has a DC starting at Hammond on the BA course this September. It is extremely likely that my DD will also be starting there at the same time on the same course. I hadn't given any thought to accommodation as yet but on reflection perhaps this is foolha...

Contact hours at Hammond

Hi chivers61 and Robin64 - thank you so much for your advice. I was a little worried about contacting Hammond and querying their hours in case they 'took the place away' again because they thought I was being difficult but I do think it would be unwise to blunder in with little information and regre...

Hammond contact hours

Hi Mummyofthree and chivers61. Thank you very much for your thoughts regarding the contact hours at Hammond. It's great that you actually know someone there and they really love it. I have to say we know someone who knows someone and they really love it too so all that is sounding great. I've looked...

Contact hours at Hammond

Hi Mummyofthree Thanks for getting back to my post a couple of days ago. Very interesting that your daughter was offered a place for the Hammond BA (Hons) course from last Tuesday as was mine - well done! Do you know anyone who is currently on the course?? I know it only started up a couple of years...

Just had an offer from Hammond for their BA course

Hi There - I have read comments on this site numerous times with much interest but only signed up last night to actually to be able to make comments myself. My daughter had an audition this Tuesday gone (7 March) for the Hammond BA (Hons) course and received an offer via UCAS less then 24 hours late...
