My daughter has just been offered a place on the 3 Year Professional Musical Theatre Diploma Course after auditioning yesterday. She is waiting to hear from Bodyworks and has another six auditions to do yet but a really great way to start off. I was just wondering if anyone has any info / thoughts /...

Re: Impressed with a college but put off by it's reputation.

D & B College is my daughter’s wildcard option based on the outcomes for students and opportunities given to them whilst training. I have watched ‘Stage School’ myself and whilst it is not a true representation of Performing Arts training there is nothing in it that offends me enough to discount...

Re: Vocational training at 16

My daughter started Evolution Foundation College in Colchester at 16 this September. We live 220 miles away in Torquay so my daughter has to live in the approved accommodation which consists of three houses in the same road 2.8 miles away from the College. She shares a house with six other students...

Re: The house is quiet

My sixteen year old is currently on her way from Torquay to Colchester to live in a shared house with six other students. To be honest both she and I are a bit concerned already as this morning the neighbours to this house have felt the need to put a letter through the letterbox asking the students ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018

Hi there. My daughter is going to a Evolution Foundation College in September so we will be doing the rounds again for the three year Diploma. She would really like to go to Bird or Italia Conti but would be happy to go wherever offers her funding. Italia Conti have an excellent A-Level programme if...

Re: Auditioning for 2017

I'm just wondering if anyone else has come up against the same issue we are. I'm looking for advice. My daughter is 15 and 16 in July but as we are looking at housing for Bodyworks we are finding that age group few and far between and are worried about her house sharing with much older students. We...

Re: Best value Foundation courses?

We were quite impressed by Evolution when we went for the audition. The students were so positive and upbeat and obviously having the time of their lives. The only sticking point for me was that every student I spoke to was advised to go on to audition at 10, 11, 12 colleges all over the country, s...

Hi there.

From what I have read before it was not allowed for a diploma or degree but was for foundation as not classed as higher education ? My daughter is doing a Foundation course in Sept...

Re: Auditioning for 2017

Has anyone ever had their deposit back from a course which their youngster decided not to take up? Basically Urdang (Foundation) are wanting a £500 deposit (gulp!) but we are still like everyone else waiting to hear about dada's. I think £500 deposit is far too much when they haven't finished their...
