Re: ‘Beauty’ Pageants
My children have taken part in one, they can be a fun experience, they get to showcase their talents, have professional pictures taken, but I wouldn't personally make a habit of them.

Re: KIDS ON BROADWAY HOLIDAY TO NEW YORK NEW YORK
Not really convinced they can advertise this as a holiday. Correct me if I'm wrong but you must organize and pay for flights and accommodation, they organize the workshops whilst you are there.

Performing children and SATs
Not really help needed, but more curiosity. A friend and I were chatting as we both have year six kids. What happens if a child has a major production ongoing during SATs...... Such as a tour or feature film where they are being educated off site. Did a bit of research and read a few possibilities i...

Re: Child licensing question
Yes, it does thank you. Its kind of what I thought. I believe if there was a day off in between the filming and play, it would have been OK. Oh well he wants to do the play more anyway

Re: Help RE:School being difficult
We get 5 official days per school year, it is negotiable. It also doesn't include if he were to be educated on set as obviously then he's still classed as 'in education'. Hope you get it sorted.

Re: Request for permission for possible time off
Thank you very much for replies. The form actually has a space for the head teacher to sign. It does seem unusual but it's one day audition and any recalls. I believe their reasoning is wanting to cast and not wanting any hold ups come September. But they've made it clear it must be signed to avoid ...
