Re: Fidgeting!
Dare I say it but the new craze of fidget spinners currently sweeping across school playgrounds nationwide might be able to assist. The general size fits within the palm but while out yesterday we came across miniature versions for £2.50 which might be ideal for your daughter to hold and use while s...

Re: Changing agency - etiquette?
Hi, Moving from one agency to another should really be quite a straightforward process but it's always best to follow the correct ettiquette as agents do talk to each other as you would expect. Firstly make sure that you're completely happy with the contractual terms from the new agency. Then write ...

Re: Children's agent looking for help.
Hi Kay, I would also really love to be involved in helping with this. I am local to London & have plenty of spare time at the moment having just said goodbye to my former teaching career in order to do lots of new and exciting things. I'm not sure how to pm on here but please get in touch if you...

Re: Cover letter for an agency application
Hi tikto, Im not experienced in this area and like you only have a young performer. However I did come across this website (link below) that seems to offer some good pointers to get your friends dd going. Have a look and see what you think. Good luck :D https://actinginlondon.co.uk/how-to-write-a-co...

Re: NAPM Gathering
Hi all, just wondered if this was the only NAPM meet up that was organised? Seems a shame if that was the case. Would be good to have one as this one was so long ago.

Tutoring/Chaperones

I've completed all the necessary courses in order to be registered as a chaperone with my local authority as part of the requirements of being registered as the welfare...

Re: Going to Tring younger than yr7
Hi, pre-preps i.e year 5&6 pupils are in the minority at Tring & are therefore mixed in with year 7&8 boarders. Boarders are usually 4 to a room. The best advice I can offer if you are seriously considering Tring is to make an appointment to look round with your daughter during what woul...

Re: Tring Park Theatre Arts Course
The school has science & sports as it's specialisms. It has a traditional choir & orchestra but that's as far as the creative curriculum now extends. Drama has been removed from the curriculum due to a low uptake. During the Headteachers initial presentation he expressed that every boy has a...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
I can only speak positively of ds primary school who have been amazing in allowing him to undertake everything that he has been offered to date, including 3 theatre productions, 2 commercials and a national tour which have all involved large amounts of time away from school. His absence from school ...

Re: Tring Park Theatre Arts Course
We have now accepted the place at Tring for ds. Just wondered if anyone else is in the same position i.e with ds/dd starting on Theatre Arts course as Year 7 boarder. Would be fantastic to be able to make some links before starting.

Re: Tring Park Theatre Arts Course
Thankyou Caroline A-C. I did infact speak to the pastoral department this evening who were extremely helpful and very reassuring. They explained about the 3 week rule which obviously makes sense. They also explained that there is one exeat per half term plus another chosen exeat termly. With the abi...

Re: Tring Park Theatre Arts Course
Thank you so much 2dancersmum for taking the time to provide such solid advice. Lots of thinking to do for us as a family and little time left to decide but hopefully we'll reach the right decision for all of us.
