Does anyone know if they have starting casting for this again? I know Instagram said it would be back up and running in August. Just wondered if anyone had heard about auditons?

TIA X It depends on the parts I think but generally it is under 4ft 7 for Dancers and under 4 ft 5 for Matilda’s friends (Lavender etc), under 4ft 6 for Bruce and 4ft 3 or under for Matilda. They are still asking for submissions for dancers...

I saw they were tweeting for the Bruce role today. Think they will be asking for self tapes.

I don’t know about classmate auditions but there were supposed to be recalls for the part of Matilda earlier this week but all auditions have now been put on hold due to the coronavirus.

Does anyone know if they have had any recalls for the Matilda part yet or is it still at first round?

RoseTower4 - we got to the final and got a no so we asked whether we were still being considered for London and they said no so I think it's great that they have recalled you and you should go! Well done to your dc for still being in the running! X

What makes a swing different to the others? Would they not just be the next best ones? Or do they look for something different in a swing? I just wondered why they wanted to see the potential swings separately at the end.

Oh well that is more promising. We thought they were asked to sing lavender's ballerina song which we didn't get to do so thought they were considered for main lavender/Amanda parts. Who knows though! Just hope we don't have to wait too long!! Good luck to you and everyone still waiting to hear!

Oh no! I hope you hear soon. We're not expecting a yes this time as they kept about 6 girls from our group back to sing more and we weren't kept but it was a great experience and there is still a slither of hope left so we'll hold on to that!! I had that too today as well as a tour email (also sent to a general mailing list by the looks of it( although now I look again it does say it is particularly interested in boys who can dance and girls under 4ft 3in for the role of Matilda so maybe they could cast some but not all of the roles after...

Has anyone seen that another call for Matilda tour has gone out with auditions next week? Does that mean they weren't able to cast from the final on Saturday? We haven't heard yet but have had the group email asking people to apply asap for the tour! Thinking that is probably not a good sign for us!

Although the last group doesn't need to get there until 1.00pm so it would be odd if some were kept all day and some only for half a day? They are for different parts I suppose? Can't second guess these things but I really want to know! Haha!

Does anyone know the format of Saturday? It didn't say whether it would be all day again although there are slot times for groups. Do you think they will stay or will they send people away throughout the day?? Very new to all of this, sorry!
