Re: New to this

OK so first of all just so you know, 15 is a really slow age for castings of any kind. At the end of year 11 or when the child turns 16 if it's in August, they no longer require their LEA's permission to perform and are what is known as out of licence. Most roles for 14-15 Yr olds will be taken by t...

Re: Singing teacher recommendations ( London)

My daughter is a younger teen but she has had lessons with Fran Fenech now for a number of years. She is currently based near Paddington, but shortly moving near Angel I think.

Re: When do you stop supporting dreams?

I think it's a really hard question and probably only one that eventually your daughter can answer. MT is incredibly competitive, as is the whole profession... But not only does it come down to talent and dedication but the right look, being in the right place at the right time and that magic ingred...

Re: Kids London Ltd

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the agency, but looking at their online presence they seem to be well respected and their Facebook site shows lots of recent activity and bookings. Sole usually means you can only sign with that one agency - however in this case as they only offer modelling you...

Re: Recall for major film

Unfortunately there is no set time limit... Sometimes you will hear within a few days, other times you may get an availability check but not actually be asked to do a recall at all. Sometimes these kind of auditions come in waves though and they can recall one lot, and then do another group at a lat...

Re: When should I move on?

Happy to suggest some, but your age and experience will probably dictate which agencies would be most appropriate. Are you over 16 and so out of licencing?

Re: When should I move on?

I would broaden your options. Approach some more agents making sure you tailor your letter/email to each specific agent. You really want to find an agent that is excited about having you on board.. It won't stop you going back to the original agent if they offer you rep in the meanwhile. I have hear...

Re: WEMT & Stagebox

I think if it were my daughter I'd be opting for WEMT more because of her age than anything else. Stagebox is very focused on its younger end from what I know, as it has its own agency and obviously likes to have children cast in West End shows. I know several girls who have been or are part of Stag...

Re: 13 the Musical - Netflix

No it's all on hold at the moment. They have done an open audition and then agent auditions in America - mainly self tape but some face to face with children in New York. They have selected some from open audition to do a further self tape. All I know is that they are looking for their cast to actua...

13 the Musical - Netflix

My DD has been asked to recall from the open call for netflix 13 the musical. Just wondering if this was a widespread recall? I know of 1 boy who has also been asked? Anyone hear of anyone else?
Thanks

Re: Auditioning again?

Most of them will call you back if they still think your child has potential for the show, as in still under height limit and with the right skills. Some ask you not to apply again if you've had a 'no', they'll contact you if they want to see your child, but I don't think onyone really takes any not...

Re: height restrictions at castings

So long as they are definitely under 4'7 on the day of the audition they will be seen. I've heard of plenty who have been sent away without even being seen by the CD I assume you are talking about for being over height!!

Re: id Talent

I've just had a look at their Website as had not heard of them before. They seem to be very much linked to a local theatre school and a dance school so represent their students. My reservation would be having looked at some of their children's spotlight profiles that I cannot actually find many prof...

Dominique Moore does private lessons based around screen acting. Can highly recommend. The studio is in Hackney Wick. She also does online lessons.

Not all agents use tagmin. It is like an online calendar where you book out your availability and your agent puts all you submissions onto it.
