Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Can somebody maybe let me know the process for accepting offers, only never having gone through this before, neither I or my dd are quite sure. Do you have to accept by a certain date? My daughter has two offers and is still waiting on two other outcomes, one she had a recall yesterday, one is next ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Hi DD just had offer for Italia Conti foundation. Is this worthwhile? Anyone any experience of foundation courses? This is the only offer (apart from academic courses at other unis as she is still torn about what route to follow) Advice or info appreciated! We live in the north of Scotland so this ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Thanks for the good wishes for DD. She isn’t an experienced singer so she said her singing was horrendous, she had never sang with a cold previously. But she said it worked as an advantage for her drama 😊 She took it all in her stride. I thought she would be very disappointed as Bird is top of her ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
DD had an offer from Chichester MT, does anyone know much about them please?
I liked the Campus with its student hub, but didn’t really get a good look around.
Thanks

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
So blooming happy - DD got offer of Degree at ArtsEd yesterday. Her absolute dream school. Happy doesn't begin to describe how we are all feeling. This was her third year of applying, so for those of you who may be in a similar situation to us, there is absolutely hope! How fantastic, she must be s...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Could any of you lovely people give me advise on what DD should wear for her Song and Monologue at auditions? Should it be on the more ‘dressy’ side? How casual is too casual? Would she normally wear same clothes for both song and monologue? Auditions coming up very soon and if new clothes are Need...

My dd has just completed two years at LIPA on the MT course.
By all means DM me if more appropriate.

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
Hi guys, DS received a diploma offer from Bird yesterday! Gone to school super happy today 😊 Have a good weekend everyone! Well done. I can only imagine the relief of an offer. DD didn’t get a recall for Leeds Conservatoire, I’m shocked to be honest, but she’s being pragmatic about it. Guess she’s ...

Re: Auditioning for 2023 entry
I think I’m late to the party! Rather like dd submitting her UCAS!! Having only just started auditions - she’s had two - one was Central and not recalled. However, several of her classmates have offers for ICBrighton and Conti already. Last weekend she attended a ‘pre audition’ MT course at GSA and ...

Re: Post 16 2023 Entry
My daughter is applying for next year and we’ve starting looking at colleges. Ideally would like MT, but tempted by acting too. Currently in LIPA 6th form MT.
ICT Brighton was mentioned by a tutor, any info appreciated as not one that’s been on our radar!
Thank you.

Re: LIPA high school
My daughter is in LIPA 6th form and they were told that the Primary School - Little LIPA - has pupils who’ve reached yr6 now and are looking to progress them through to a LIPA secondary school. I’m presuming this would be September, but she doesn’t know if they are just continuing within the same bu...

Re: 6th Form - LMA vs LIPA
Icklemom3 that sounds great, you must be so proud of her.
Thank you everyone for the information. I think her choice is made now, she just has to get the GCSE grades and turn down LMA, which I feel bad for doing!

Re: Anyone dealing with unenthusiastic Dads???
We’ve had similar conversations, but doing a BTech in whatever, is continuing her education, just including more practical aspects. A lot depends on the child, personally my dd would find doing 3 A Levels through studying more trying than doing something she loves and is more likely to come out with...

Re: 6th Form - LMA vs LIPA
Thank you. Unfortunately we didn’t get to an open day at LMA due to lockdown, but did for LIPA and were impressed. Interestingly, dds dance is not her strong point and she was worried the standard at LIPA would be too high. She got into Rare too, but didn’t like the facilities and it seemed too ‘dan...

Re: 6th Form - LMA vs LIPA
Don’t base her choice on where she thinks she wants to end up now. Look at outcomes of both schools and the training they would provide where would she be most happy and enjoy. My daughter is the lower sixth now, this time last year GSA was where she was thinking of long term. After two terms of tr...
