Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
For Bird you need the Zip 16+ card. They will stamp the form in the office and you can get free bus travel for 18 year olds as the card is for ages 16-19 and Bird have signed up with TFL. Well you could in 2014 at least! My DD used it for year 1 of the degree.

Re: Seeds of doubt now
Don’t listen to them! They are just envious of you both. Can’t believe that a friend could do this! This whole process is an emotional rollercoaster you need support not a back stabbing! Do what you feel is right and I wish you all the best xxx

Re: After graduation....
There are loads of agents out there some better than others but don't think getting an agent will automatically get you a job. I know graduates who have agents but no jobs. Also don't underestimate the value of a college agency. Look at Bird's twitter page they are still getting their graduates work...

Graduates and Agents
Hi everyone can I just check something please, do all the colleges have their own agency? I know Bird and Urdang do but I don't think LSC do. Is this correct? With so many graduates now it's likely that not all will gain an independent agent so if they haven't even got access to the college one it w...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put results
Well done to all the graduates and best of luck for the future. I agree with everyone's concerns about student numbers but with the DADA pot being so unpredictable and not guaranteed I can fully understand while all the colleges are moving from Diploma to Degree. For us the most important thing was ...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put results
Hello everyone! Just wondered how all the DC's have got on? The 3 years have flown by and their experiences may help those yet to audition. My DD has just graduated from Bird and it's fair to say it's been a tough experience but she did it! She did fantastically well and came out with a first! Year ...

Re: Auditioning for 2017
I agree with you 19 hours isn't enough. We've always looked at the degrees at the colleges as value for money- 40+ hours a week, school term dates (the year runs from the beginning of September to mid July) rather than mid September to mid May- all for £9000pa!

Re: Auditioning for 2017
Hi Cata pyjamas congratulations to your DD. You can find details of the DADAs and the scale here https://www.gov.uk/dance-drama-awards but this is only for 2016/17. This will probably be updated in April when the government announces the total pot of money available, but hopefully it will give you a...

That's annoying 2girlsmum that you have to wait to see if there's a spare place. I hope you DD gets a chance to audition there soon.

Re: Auditioning for 2017
I agree don't be put off. The whole process is very stressful but each college does have its own criteria. How many more auditions have you got to go Robin64?

My DD also got a place off the reserve list at Bird and is in her final year. We know if someone who got a place off the reserve list last year too. Never give up hope!
