Re: After graduation....
My daughter has recently graduated from LSC summer 2018. One of the reasons she picked LSC is they had an agents week towards the end of their third year. She auditioned for approx 20 agents over the course of a week. She had approx 8 -9 offers of representation. She is now in her first job in Matil...

Re: Query on performing arts degree costs
My DD is in her 2nd year at London studio centre. She can borrow 6K towards her fees. We had to remortgage our house to pay her remaining fees. She gets a student loan to live on and we have topped her up by another 5k a year. This essentially is enough to live but she has taken on 2 jobs for the ex...

Re: Is dancing once a week good enough?
And my DD was an elite gymnast til the age of 12 and then transferred to Diving til she was 15. She had developed the discipline of training hard from an early age and learnt to compete and control nerves which has stood her in good position when auditioning for performing arts colleges. As I said s...

Re: Is dancing once a week good enough?
Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons, my DD didn't start singing or dancing until she was 15. She auditioned for colleges at 18 and got a number of offers and is just completing her first year at LSC. I'm sure at 9 there is plenty of time yet to get more experience

Re: HE Dance ... Uni or Conservatoire ... which course ?
My daughter is at LSC and is loving it. Such a variety of dance styles offered as well as options which develop them as individual performers. Worth a look. My advice is to try and visit as many places as you can and see where they fit in. Good luck everyone auditioning for 2016!

Re: Auditioning for 2016
My advice will be to go to as many open days as you can. They are all very different and your dd will get a feeling and vibe for the ones that best suite them. You can then narrow down the ones that they audition for which will reduce your costs greatly. My daughter stepped into LSC and knew it was ...

Re: Chester House Student Accomodation - Sept 2015 intake
We went to look round Chester house yesterday. It's in a lovely leafy area. Lots of nice bars and restaurants on the high street. Feels safe. The accommodation itself is great. Lots of communal space to mix. Look like there will be a mix of LSC Urdang Mount View and Italia conte students. Alison is ...

Re: LSC accomodation
I certainly will report back BlackSwan. Im feeling very positive about the place. There should be a good mix of students there and chance to find their friends over a period of time.I for one can't see any negatives at the moment as my DD will be going to LSC so a totally acceptable commute. Will se...

Re: LSC accomodation
I too have booked my DD into Chester house. We are going to have a look around next Tuesday before paying a deposit. Alison has been extremely helpful in answering all my questions. Working the costs out in my head over a year I think I would struggle to find her anything else for the same amount of...
