Re: Where are our Sept 2018 starters going?
My DD began her training at London Studio Centre today. It was the first audition that she went to and unexpectedly loved it. Had offers from other colleges but after the second audition at LSC decided that it was the place for her. I have often come on this forum and found it so informative but at ...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
I've a couple of questions regarding recalls and offers. Urdang have put in email that the interview will be about your academic background. Is that information not on your form or do they want to know more in-depth questions regarding what you are doing now (my daughter is doing a Btec). Also, in t...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Robin64, my dd has also received an email today regarding a recall at Urdang. I'm under the impression that the £75.00 is if you want to be considered for a DADA or for the shortfall between student loan and Urdang fees. Although, I'm sure I read somewhere about somebody turning up for an audition a...

Re: Auditioning for SEPT 2018
Whilst I think I have my head around what college offers what and what we need with regards to applying i.e. songs, monologues etc. I'm really confused with the whole UCAS application. For example for Performers, I can't seem to see anywhere on the application form whether you apply directly to them...

Re: Auditioning for 2016
My dd is attending the scholarship audition on 25th April at Performers. Does this mean that they will not be considered for a DADA? Or is it both do you know? All a bit confusing

Monologues
Probably a bit of a silly question! My DD is doing the pre-audition course at Urdang and they have sent a list of monologues. It just got me thinking, in a real audition do you have to know the Monologue off by heart? Are you allowed it with you to refer to even? Thanks.

Re: Pre audition courses
My dd was interested in doing the Urdang pre-audition course. Has anybody's dd's or ds's signed up for this in the past and found it to be worthwhile or helpful for when they actually auditioned for real?

Re: How much ballet per week?
Thank you for your replies. My DD will be taking some private lessons starting in the next couple of weeks so I hope that as her technique improves so does her confidence. I'm unsure as to when she is taking her next exam as her teacher is fairly new to the school so a little bit up in the air at th...

Re: How much ballet per week?
Thanks for your replies. DD is going to take a few private lessons after Easter so hopefully this will help her confidence :) It is so hard to gage sometimes where your child is ability wise and where they need to be. You obviously compare against people they dance with all the time but they will be...

How much ballet per week?
Hi! My dd is looking to audition late this year or early next year for colleges, probably Performers, Urdang, Laines and Bird although she will only be 15 at this point as she is a summer birthday. Anyway, my question is how much ballet should she be doing a week? At present she does two hours of ba...
