Re: Chaperoning on a Commercial or a Film
Hi Toesxed, Swanny explained it very well. But, just to clarify your specific question about you or a relative chaperoning...Yes, a parent can chaperone (and would often be expected to for commercials etc) BUT a relative cannot unless they are a licenced chaperone. So if you want a grandparent or au...

Re: 16 year old - Out of licensing - any time limits on set?
Thank you so much for the response. I had thought I read something about under 18s and working hours so good to have that confirmed. Great to know!
He is Year 12 - just very young for the year but definitely out of licensing.
Thank you again!

16 year old - Out of licensing - any time limits on set?
Hi all, Advice please - ds just booked something - hurrah! Out of licensing but still just 16 - are there any regulations as to how long he can be on set? He no longer needs a chaperone so I assume he is fine to go on his own for reh/shoot. There will be a child on set as well so at least I know the...

Re: Boys Auditions for Singin' in the Rain this Sunday!
I have worked with Mayhem before on the UK premiere of The Addams Family. josmum's dd worked with me as well. For an amateur company, they have high production values and attract top rate talent.
Good luck to anyone who goes for it!

Re: Louise Gubbay Associates - Kids Division
We went to an adult workshop. It was good. We even met another NAPM mum and dd. Our conversation is somewhere on here.
We have not done the kids one so can't comment on it. Yes, they are very quick to respond.

DD & I really enjoyed today's workshop. Louise was incredibly knowledgeable, so down to earth & as 'waitingandwaiting' commented, lovely too! Great to meet 'waitingandwaiting' and her d's, I'm on a role this week meeting napm's after meeting 'hecouldshine' and her ds on Wednesday at the the...

Re: Workshop For Actors 16 years + with Agent Louise Gubbay
A very good workshop! My ds and I enjoyed it and bonus we met cookiecrew and her dd. Good luck for results day! The child workshop would have been better for us as dd is younger (who did not come) and ds has practically no experience yet. But we are on holiday for the younger workshop. But, it was d...

Re: Harry Potter coming to West End
i just read about it and then thought I would check out all those in the know on here! How exciting! You can register your interests for tickets on their website. For some reason, I think ticket sales will be quite brisk. And yes, fingers crossed, some opportunities for NAPM kids! I am excited....I ...

Brilliant - thank you. They did Lord of the Flies last night so something new. I had thought of History Boys so think I will buy that for him to read. Also, thank you for Bouncers recommendation. Will get that as well. A bit of reading over the Xmas hols. Thank you all!

GSCE play for all boys?
Does anyone have recommendations for good GCSE material for all boys? Just saw my ds perform Lord of Flies for a mock assessment. They did Neville's Island last time. I know they will have guidance from their teacher but they did get to make the final decision. If he can read some of them before the...

Exciting! My dd and I are currently rehearsing for an amdram production of this in Nov! Love, love, love Annie having grown up with it. Interesting that they are touring it now - I wonder if they are counting on the publicity from the film that is coming out to get more people in!

Re: Miss You Already
And just got official confirmation that it is a no for another project on here. I think we pretty much knew that as we were away for that too but when you see it in black and white.... good feedback but not this time.
