Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Yes I remember, I’ll bear that in mind, thank you. It’s good to know someone who’s already doing the course. Dd has a few friends at GSA but they are doing the MT course. DS was the same, he had 2 friends who got places on the MT degree for the same year as him, and he already knew a couple of fina...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@Harry2003. Wow at the offers, or few offers. DD keeps telling me it’s a 1.8% success on auditioning. Of course her plan now is to be so impressive and dedicated they can’t not offer her a BA! That sounds like a solid plan! All the very best of luck for a great year. Can I ask how much the extra le...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Huge congratulations Ditzi's daughter! That's really great news. You might remember my DS is on the Acting course at GSA, in Year 1. He's really happy with it. He did want London, but now he's there he's seeing many advantages to being at GSA, and he really rates his tutors. If I/he can answer any ...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Oh sorry, just seen it's the Acting/MT BA.... Definitely worth exploring further, if only to meet some tutors and see the facilities before deciding.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
And congratulations @K8t's DD too on her recall! I agree with you, if it's not a huge expense for you she may as well go to the recall at IC and see what she thinks. What makes her think it wouldn't be the right place for her? It's surely worth checking it out before committing to GSA Foundation. Bu...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@k8t Congrats to your DD on her GSA MT Foundation offer. That's great! If it is MT she wants to do, then I'd take it. The RB offer is probably really interesting for someone who wants to do American Theatre but they're not at all the same thing, so I'd say she should think about what it is she wants...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@K8t Thanks for explaining. I guess if it says decision pending, it really is exactly that. Very frustrating for your DD but it sounds hopeful, at least.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@k8t Congrats to your DD on her reserve offer from PPA. That's an interesting one - I hadn't really heard of it until recently but suddenly a few people seem to be going there. Could be good to somewhere when it's on the up? Re no news from GSA, I'm not clear what stage things are at. Is it for MT d...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@lollipop, I'm trying to remember, but DS was in this position last year as he got an offer from a UCAS college in early Feb and then didn't hear back from another place until really late. I was very stressed as I thought he would lose the place, but he didn't. UCAS is probably the safest route, as ...

In my humble opinion, this process should not be attempted without gin.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@sailorgirluae Sorry to hear that. Hopefully your DC will have moved on and views the experience as a practice run for the real auditions coming up! Keep the faith. Where else has DC applied?

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
@Hilltop if your daughter doesn't see herself as first and foremost a dancer, I think you're right, and Performers maybe isn't the right place anyway. My impression is that Performers mainly trains large cohorts of dancers, and many of them will not go into stage/MT performing careers but more comme...

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
My general observation would be that no interview (from a place where they do interviews) means no offer, but I don't have any specific experience of Performers. If that's the case, I hope your DD won't be too disappointed and will bounce back and get offers elsewhere. DS knew a few talented girls d...
