Re: changing track at 17 (Y13/repeating Y12) options? Cambs area

Do you really feel you need to allow extra £ for private lessons, isn't there enough training at the college you mention during the week?

With reference to train from Cambridge to Hitchin, you can also get another railcard that gives you a discount, off the top of my head it's something like Student Connect. Only for Great Northern line,I think. Young Person's Railcard has saved us £100 ' s, also if you get a student card - Totum as i...

Re: Fired from job. Crushed

Contact ACAS. They can be very helpful but you will need to state facts rather than give them too much personal information. It sounds as though the company you work for is in breach of several things, do you have a contract? Instant dismissal should only be done if something serious has happened, t...

Re: Let Things Be??

Hi Dodger ' s mum. Mine was with an agency, small but productive for many but never put forward for enough work. I am so glad we left as she is so busy with training too 😉. I can't help thinking it will make things easier when the time comes to get a new one.It must be difficult when there is a chang...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Starstruck39 Emil Dale, fantastic choice, was offered Brit School too but loved the audition day at EDA.
That's great accommodation offered too, maybe more rooms available for boys?
So hard and this we will think is the easy bit in years to co e!

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

I can't remember I think 2 different songs from original audition, they chose which one they wanted, group dance and monologue. Also a quite in depth scholarship form to fill in,including make and model of car. mine quite enjoyed it,got to know others well ,some of who accepted scholarships and also ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Good luck with fundraising, we did reasonably well with go fund me ,however we now face problems over the next year which may mean we will have to make decisions about my daughter continuing her training. She was offered a place at Tring and we had to decline as after scholarship audition was offere...

Re: Emil Dale

Just something else you might be interested in -the BTEC workload is immense as we are finding out,Many students underestimated the written work required, nearly something to produce each evening ,it is worth bearing that in mind ,mine was prepared but finds it demanding after 9 hours at college, Ab...

Re: Emil Dale

Hi,it is about 8 hours of each not sure if that includes song and dance and ,
ensemble singing also a private singing lesson which is 1/2 an hour each week. I am not 100% sure but around those amounts, maybe a bit more rather than less.

Re: A levels alongside Musical Theatre Btech

We found Tring to be too academic, my DD was offered a place, with a small scholarship, I think she could do 2 A levels but that may have changed - she is now doing a BTEC which has a huge workload with it which has been a shock to many students. I think Tring was going to start UAL which is same as ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

With regards to the mum who isn't keen- you want us to take the time to write about our numerous audition experiences so you can inform her?
Just go through the numerous threads on here and tell her yourself or even better give her the details and she can join and look through herself!
