Re: Peter Pan live remake

My friends twins went for a casting for this last week so they're still on first round Auditions at the moment.
Hope they call my DD in she'd love this! I think it's approx age 8-11ish for the lost boys x

Re: Matilda the film

Hi if anyone has been - is this a dance audtion? Says movement acting and singing. Dd is not a trained dancer so there is no point if that’s what they want. Yes they are still auditioning!!! The first audition (If you're going to the workshop style one) is alot of dance - my daughters group started...

Re: Kids Know Best?

I got the same! Very odd wasn't it! I expected to be auditioning for a specific job role to be part of their videos etc where is it just sounds as though they're adding 100s of children to a database just incase they ever need them :$ not really what I expected x

Re: Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat

Hi,
There's a discussion about this in the Musical Theatre section :) I'm sure they were discussing the singing part so might be worth looking there :D

Re: Mary Poppins

It doesn't specify location in the breakdown on Jo Hawes' website, but based on previous experience with similar shows I think it is most likely that children will need to live within commuting distance to London. I would suggest emailing or tweeting Jo to ask - she is usually pretty quick to respo...

Re: Self Tape Success Stories

Oh Sugarplumfairy that is grand news, fingers crossed for your DD and yes, you absolutely do not mind (and in fact love quite a bit!) spending the money on travel if you know you have been noticed :) I think these days so many are doing self-tapes first that you cannot fail to start getting just th...

Re: Self Tape Success Stories

Snap, sugarplumfairy - my DS had the same news last week. I wonder if it's the same series? Best of luck to your DD for her recall! I definitely think self-tapes are a learning curve. DS got nowhere with them for ages but has had several recalls from tapes in the last 6 months, so I think we must b...

We've actually just had another self tape success too so we must be getting better (phew!) she's been shortlisted to the top 3 for a new Netflix series role from her self tape this week and has a recall in London next week so we don't s...

Re: Self Tape Success Stories

We tend to have more success with scripted self tapes than non scripted. From scripted self tapes she ended up booking a lead role in a feature film (two self tapes followed by a screen test) and the lead role in two short films, We quite like self tapes with scripts because you can do a couple of t...
