Re: Doctor's letter
I haven't been given all the details yet but have been advised to get the letter asap. I think I'll have a look on their website and see what it says about a 'fit to work' letter. It sounds better than me saying ds needs it to prove that he's fit to travel. I've asked a doctor to sign a letter in t...

Re: West End Calling Competition
These aren't competitions where the best person wins, just like open mic etc. Is all about who can get the most people to vote, or having to buy certain amount of tickets to the evening and so on.
More about marketing than finding the best of the Best but that's just one opinion.

I have not been on either but from my experience I think your child is far more likely to get more out of an all day session. an all day sessions they will learn more and become more confident as the day goes on rather than just doing a 2hr audition technique class.

Award winning director you say and yet you don't give their name? I find that a bit odd when it's the first line of your advert and your selling point.

I'm also pleased this is a play rather than a musical, hopefully the story will be a good one onstage.

Re: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang auditions
I don't think these auditions are for the national tour, but a production before it. The reason I say this is that the auditions for Jeremy and Jemima will be held elsewhere and they MUST live within a commutable distance of London.
Only the sewer kids will be cast locally for the National Tour.

Re: D and B
I'd check what the notice period is, if it's still 6 months then on that basis alone would be a definite no in my opinion.

It won't be that much they are taking but there was a change a few years back now in how they had to invoice it. Can't recall the ins and outs though.

The Railway Children at Kings Cross used adults who were in their 20's-30's, I will NOT ever be watching a show where adults are kids again put it that way.

Re: Christopher Robin casting
I would just seriously walk away and forget about this. We went last month and not heard back but from what I've been told, this isn't the first time, or even the first year this brief has gone out
